Visiting family in Toowoomba and wanted to take them out for a bite for afternoon tea. Looked cute on Trip Advisor pics and liked the novel aspect of the train station across the road for the kids. We were disappointed to find that the decore was being changed/renovated, so it actually felt like we were dining in the midst of someone moving house. Our order of pancakes, scones, toasted sandwich, brownie, cornbread and poached eggs meant that we got to sample a little of each. The scones were light and tasty and the toasted sandwich was above average but the brownie was not what I would identify as a brownie. It was a very thick and dense slab of tasteless mud cake that I'm sure had been over beaten to give it the rubbery texture that it had. To be honest it tasted awful. The milkshakes and coffees were fine and the counter service staff were lovely, so there were some redeeming features.
