My wife and I have been searching for a good Indian restaurant for a couple of years since we moved to the Gold Coast. We started at the northern end of the Coast and began working our way south, dining at a number of dreadful establishments along the way. We don't want battery-acid hot food - just beautifully spicy and fragrant curries, as they should be cooked. The Naan bread has to be soft and fluffy on the inside, and straight from a Tandoor, not a microwave oven. The Indian Hut was recommended to us by a regular visitor who loves the food there, and we have not been disappointed.
The service can be patchy, sometimes good, other times not so good, but we think this is a small price to pay for decent Indian food. We will continue to eat there.
