“very bad performance from the chef”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

We turned up and have to say was expecting a lot considering the dress code. Looked at the menu and decided in the fillet with a meza to start. When i went up to order they actually never had my choice or starter choice, in fact there must have been over 12 items that they never had left. so in the end i had rump steak with jacket potato and veg. My steak was well done when i asked for medium rare, the jacket was so hard and uncooked i think they actually tried cooking it in the fridge and the starter was very poorly presented with some horrible mango chutney that really didn't go with the callaramie and the Dianne sauce was gloppy and floury. we had a table of about 10 people and not one meal come out worth shouting about and not one person was happy with what they got although the service was acceptable and they were polite in there. When you go out for dinner and pay the money you expect then to serve something better than what you can do at home and we were over charged for a very unacceptable performance on cooking. top marks for the coffee though.

“Friday arvo drinks”
Reviewed January 9, 2014 via mobile

Attended the yachties at about 4 o'clock for afternoon drinks. Fantastic service. Great outlook, watching the ferries depart the marina. Not busy.

“Customer Service?”
Reviewed December 9, 2013 via mobile

Went there on a Saturday at 4pm. What a surprise to find the upstairs restaurant does not serve food until 5:30. "Okay-beer time". I walk up to the bar to be greeted by a very immature male behind the bar stating I needed to remove my hat. Hmmm - good point but is that how customers are greeted? After finally getting the beer and turning to return to my bride, I must dodge a party crowd who are all wearing party hats! What a place - more worried about a non-equitable no-hat policy than about customer satisfaction.

“hot location, cold food.”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

had dinner with a few friends for a birthday and was possibly the worst service in gladstone. Staff and fellow "members" have a snobby attitude which is ridiculous for a place with below average pub food (my steak was cold) ..will not be joining the "club" and will not be returning.
