“Best management and customer service!!”

Management is great, so well organised and you can see that staff like to work there. Steak is best choice here

“Huge steaks!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

Quick friendly service, quality food and country-size servings. Beware - during the week they shut down the coffee machine quite early and don't warn you - at 8.30pm (having findihed our meal) we couldn't get a coffee which was pretty disappointing.

“Purely average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013 via mobile

Pub fare on restaurant prices, but that is typical for this town. Meals were slow and steaks were not cooked to order - they were overdone and the eye fillet was not tender. Salad appeared haphazardly thrown together. Chips were decent though.

“Definitely not as good as it used to be quite pricey”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

Still seems popular but there is not a lot of choice in Gladstone - the prices of the food has hiked up quite a lot since 2 years ago when I was last there. I don't think I would go back there to eat

“Typically Gladstone”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

First thing you need to realise is that Gladstone is running purely on the mining. Even average to poor costs a lot in Gladstone and THEY JUST DON'T CARE! Money walks in every door so customer service, value for money etc left a long time ago. If you don't come back it doesn't matter. Well not until the mining money dries up anyway.............

Honestly, service is pretty quick each time I have been here, staff run through the motions but aren't rude, meals vary greatly in portion size and quality, atmosphere is non existent and everything seems to be geared towards high patronage turn over. Single diners are almost frowned upon by the old guy that seats you.

Meals have been ok (baby back ribs were great) but the one today was dreadful. Thai salad with prawns was actually a garden salad with rice noodles and prawns. No chilli, fish sauce, lime, Thai basil or coriander. I'm sure the dressing was from a bottle and had almost no taste. Mesculin, capsicum, red onion, cucumber and rice noodles does not make a Thai salad people! $22 thanks.

One plus is they run a tab service so it makes things easy, especially for tables that want to pay separately which is usually frowned upon at most restaurants these days. Overall, average but not poor. Then again so is every other place in town. I cant wait until the mining money dries up........
