Focused on fast service, high turn over. Once I had entree and main available at the same time !
Food quality average to below par. Had three meals over a period of two weeks. Steak twice was cooked correctly and tasted good, third was undercooked. The sauces on the steak were overly generous and no option of having the sauce on the side instead of smothering the steak.
There is a difference between rare and raw, and the third steak was unprofessional with the outside seared but the middle of the steak still cold. Salads with main are a bowl of mixed salad of adequate quality. The vegetable and mash option was poorly done. Mass produced buffet style, resulting in overcooked vegetables. Entrees were variable. Calamari and Lamb kebabs were nice enough (although the salad with the calamari had a rotten lettuce leaf amongst the bunch on the plate), the Oysters Kilpatrick were appalling (a bacon gravy poured over cold oysters does NOT make an Oyster Kilpatrick!) The final straw on the third night was the waitress, who escorted me to my table and should have known how long I was supposed to be there, cleared my table and unfinished drink in the two minutes between getting up to get my main (yes a "buzzer" system, no table service as such) and returning to my table. At least she apologised and replaced my drink with a fresh one.
Perhaps serving the FIFO's they can get away with this. They certainly wouldn't in most places.
