Whilst staying in South West Rocks for a few days we were exploring the area when we came upon Gladstone a sleepy little town on the River. It was about 2pm and we were looking for a late lunch. The Heritage Hotel is a very attractive building so we went inside and were made very welcome by the barman. Then we went to order food and again the staff were very friendly. We decided to have the special of Surf and Turf at only $12.50 including a drink! We went upstairs to eat on the balcony with a view of the river. It was very pleasant and our meal was brought to us very quickly. It looked amazing. It tasted even better, succulent fresh prawns resting on a very tender steak with fries and a beautiful salad all dressed in a light garlic sauce. It was divine. I would highly recommend this Bistro and definitely visit again.
