We have just spent 5 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment with our 2 kids (3 and 6). Room 77 on floor 13.
This hotel is located right opposite the beach at Coolangatta and above a small shopping centre. The beach across the road is patrolled and has a park between the road and the sand. This park has kids play equipment and BBQs. The shopping centre has Aldi and various other shops. There are many different restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops and bars/pubs within a very easy walk of the hotel. The surf club was fantastic food, great price and an unbeatable view!!

The first thing we noticed about the hotel was how clean it was. The apartment was mainly tiled with carpets in the bedrooms. The carpets were very clean and the apartment spacious and well appointed. Ours was 2 bedroom with 2 bathrooms, laundry and a full kitchen. The main feature was the balcony overlooking the beach where you could see to Surfers Paradise.

The hotel offered a pool, spa and 2 toddler pool areas along with a sauna. Car parking was available for free in the shopping centre car park. The only negative was the high price for wifi (approx $10/hr) - in this day and age it should be complimentary like in many Nth American hotels.

Overall we had a fantastic stay at a lovely apartment. We chose Coolangatta over Surfers for this stay as it is quieter and appears more family oriented. It is just a longer trip to the theme parks (about 1.5hrs on the public bus) but worth the effort to have a beautiful beach and fantastic eateries at your door.

Very spacious and well located. Decor a little tired and needs updating - walls etc need to be repainted, kitchen and bathrooms a tired. Has full amenities, which is great when travelling with children. Location is excellent, views of beach etc are great too. A little pricey being in high season. Would recommend this, but there are other places with more updated decor, furniture etc for the same price in the same area. Would return. Pool etc is very good.

Stayed 10 nights in a 2 bedroom on the 8th floor.Unit was very spacious, clean, well
decorated and outfitted with good amenities. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever slept on.The unit (46) was to the side but the views were still
amazing. The pool was great, and for a building catering for a lot of units, many times I had the pool to myself. Do try" Ruby Thai ",the food and service were excellent.Bus service is very convenient- just around the corner. All the staff were friendly. I would highly recommend this property and I will be back again next year.

We stayed on the 19th floor room 122-a 2 bdr apartment. The views were stunning of the beach and wrapped around the balcony. Quite a large unit with good facilities, laundry, kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Our fridge kept us up one night making horrible noises and when we contacted reception next morning they responded quickly by replacing the fridge with a quiet one.The decor was tired & dated, green carpet, uncomfortable cane furniture for the lounge suite-needs a lick of paint ,new carpets and fresh furnishings.
The bed and pillows were comfy though.....and we didn't have an issue with street noise.
For the price -about $130 a night- not too bad-worth it for the view alone.
The swimming pool was quiet good too, clean and plenty of lounges for relaxing in the sun.
Plenty of restaurants around-we liked the Sands Coolongatta Pub for lunch the best, the barramundi was delsih...
Buses and shops all within easy reach.

Had an absolute wonderful stay at Points North. Very spacious, modern and clean apartment with fantastic views. Have rated sleep quality a little lower as there was street noise first thing in the morning even on level 18 but otherwise can not fault the place.
