I don't even know whether if the hotel offered any service for the simple reason that there was nothing or nobody to contact.

You have clean the place yourself, take the trash out yourself which is just ridiculous if you ask me.

The air condition kept cranking up, but it didnt bother us as we just left the balcony open.

Now, the best part.. The view of the sea is simply breath taking. I have never lived in a hotel so close to the sea, ever.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about the lack of service you received from the previous management. On the 1st of December 2010 we took over the management of Reflection on the Sea. Providing a high quality of service and ensuring our guests have a pleasant stay is very important to us.

We also wish to point out that Reflection on the Sea provides self catering apartments with full kitchen and laundry facilities. Our rooms are serviced mid week if your stay is for 8 nights or more and daily servicing can be provided at an additional charge.

We hope you consider staying with us again in the future.

I was amazed at the right up and the pictures... we were looking forward to a great stay. On check I was surprised the gentleman was very unhelpful, I asked if he knew where the Club was that I wished to fo to and he said "NO". I assued he was having a bad day. We were only staying for 3 nights, on the second day if asked if we could have a late check out, which all great facilities offer and it was advertised in the brochure - not only were we told no, but we were asked if we could actually leave "before 10am!". On asking about storage for baggage, which is also advertised in the brochure, we were told No. To make the experience even worse, on the last night we had a note passed under the door reminding us tha that "check out is prior to 10 am " and "we DO NOT provide storage for your luggage". What happened to the lovely note that says "we hope you enjoyed your stay and please come back?". Reading some other guest feedback, I think the people running these beautiful apartments are in the wrong profession. A little bit of friendly customer service and flexibility is part of the business, isn't it? Unfortunately we wont be going back and have already started sharing our experience.

Firstly I would like to clarify that my fiancé & I have stayed at Reflection on the Sea before in 2009. Our first visit was fantastic, nothing was a problem. This time unfortunately, every request we had was a BIG PROBLEM. The staff are.... Terrible, aggressive, un helpfull and just rude.
Reflection on the sea has the best location and views but nothing else really going for it.
We had problems at check in then when up to our room found two of the lights broken and the door lock. We are not normally complainers but obviously the bedroom light was a priority to us & so was the apartment locking. Our bath was anything but clean & shower doors had hand prints all over them. Not what I expect from luxury apartments.
The spa didn’t work and they will not let you stay 1 minute over your 10am check in. When my fiancé asked if we could then leave our baggage there while we went to do some last minute shopping they were less than accommodating.
The best bit was the 4 tea bags & one dish liquid satchel that we were left for a 4 people for 8 days. So much for tea & coffee being provided. When we requested extra they charged to our account so we went down the lift to Mc Donalds & got as many free tea bags as we liked!
Poor Service but as I said great location & views.

It is our view that the Resort and the quality of service should speak for itself. The Resort is of high quality, and offers an outstanding outlook and facilities. Our experienced staff take pride in the work they do to maintain the standard of service expected of a Resort of this nature.

In these circumstances, responding to this feedback would not be necessary. In our experience at Reflection on the Sea, it is a rare event indeed that guests are dissatisfied with their stay.

All feedback is welcome and taken on board.

My partner and I have just returned from a week in Coolangatta staying at Reflection on the Sea. We stayed in Tower 1 on the 2nd floor. Yes, you are probably thinking what on earth can you see from there? Well, the beauty of this building is that the views are just fantastic no matter what level you are on. We could see the beautiful Kirra Beach opposite and all the way across the ocean to Surfers Paradise (brilliant night view).

Our apartment (202) was amazing. Everything you need - very large and plenty of windows to let the sunshine in. Apartments on this floor have a balcony that is about 6-8mt wide. Perfect for meals and plenty of room for lazing about. The kitchen was great - family sized fridge, European appliances, fantastic bench space and very functional. Bedrooms were large with plenty of robe space. LCD TV in the master bed.

The property itself is so clean. The pool, gym and lounge area were on our floor (level 2). The lounge has a pool table, bar (byo), fridge and wine storage lockers. The feature is a large wall mounted plasma that has foxtel connected. Great for footy!

All up - FANTASTIC. We only stayed for a week but we will be going back, hopefully for a longer stay. Location wise - you can't beat it. EVERYTHING you need is within a 5 minute walk (restaurants and cafes within the complex). We have stayed at Broadbeach in the past and this is our first time in Coolangatta. It's our new holiday playground.

Thankyou Geoff, Ann and staff for making our stay so pleasant. You were fantastic hosts and made us feel so welcome. See you again soon.

My sister-in-law booked a 3 bedroom unit for the weekend for 10 family members through a local real estate agent. We were annoyed to find out that no linen was provided so we slept in sleeping bags. Another annoyance was that the real estate had said the unit would sleep ten people, but it only had one king and two queen size beds, so the kids had to sleep on the floor. There was no soap, hand/floor towels or teatowels either and one tiny sachet of dishwashing liquid for 3 nights with ten people was never going to go far! The fridge was also very small for a 3 bedroom unit. There was a dishwasher but no detergent was provided and we weren't about to buy any for a weekend.

I would recommend that you don't book through a real estate as reception can't help you with any problems either.

At night our bedroom, which overlooked the main street, was very light even with the shades down and we could hear people on the street yelling in the wee hours. Incredible considering we were on the 15th floor!

Now the good stuff.

We were on the 15th floor and our unit overlooked Coolangatta beach and our views extended past Surfers Paradise. It was fantastic sitting on the balcony in the early morning and late afternoon. The glass windows in the living area extended all the way to the floor and I'm sure the cleaners loved cleaning all our kids hand and faceprints off them!

Telly was a bit tricky to work out, but we managed to get Austar working eventually. There is also a fantastic theatrette which you have to book at reception, which was great for watching a DVD with a lot of people.

The main bedroom was large with plenty of storage space for clothes, tv and it had a nice sized ensuite with a bath and shower.

The 2nd bedroom had a small balcony, a wardrobe and access to the bathroom. That was a bit annoying when there were other people using it as you'd often find the door locked and have to use the other one anyway. Bathroom was big and also housed the washer & dryer in a cupboard.

3rd bedroom also had a wardrobe.

There is a teppanyaki grill and 2 bbq plates in the garden, which is a lovely little spot. The grill needs to be booked at reception, but bbq's are first in best dressed.

Pool is very nice and you can actually swim in it. There is also a toddlers pool at one end and a spa at the other. There was a small gym with a few machines and a sauna in there, but I didn't take a close look.

Another nice touch was the 'Executive Lounge'. It was a room with a pool table, large screen tv and some games and books. Children under 15 must be supervised however.

The complex is close to restaurants, coffee shops, fast food (McDonalds is downstairs), cinemas, clubs and shopping. Being right opposite a great beach, you couldn't ask for more regarding location.

I booked a unit for a family holiday for 2 weeks before thinking that this building was a bit high in price but it was worth the money. The unti was very clean and had quality furnishings and appliances and the kitchen and bathrooms where amazing. We had a great view from the balcony and staying in a centre unit ment that both bedrooms are on the front and had amazing views. This building also has great facilities on level one e.g. the pool, gym, bar and the private cinema. Owe stay was made even better by the friendly staff at reception and the nice people staying in the building. Reflection On The Sea has exceptional rooms, facilities, security and a fab location i will be staying again.

We spent 4 nights here last week, it is a brand new very up market and stylish apartment/hotel complex in Coolangatta.

This is the best accommodation we have ever stayed in on the Gold Coast.

The waterfront views are spectacular, as was the wonderful service on the front desk and housekeeping.

Spotlessly clean and new, this is an ultra modern haven of peace ..just wonderful for a relaxing few days or extended stay.

We had a 7th floor 2 bedroom apartment with large balconies, right overlooking the sea outside the door.

Lovely japanese style garden/spa/pool area, which is delightfully quiet!

There were 2 large bedrooms with floor to ceiling windows/doors out to the balcony. A large open plan living area, 2 leather sofas, and ultra modern kitchen with the lot. Also handy was a small built in laundry in the second large bathroom.

Gorgeous and large balcony, with table and chairs for 6, for al -fresco dining.

The ensuite bathroom was huge, with a bath which can look out over the beach, with sliding windows.

The furnishings were gorgeous, very modern and up market.

There is a wondrous amount of eateries and shops, a few steps away, at every turn...so you are spoilt for choice here, supermarkets, restaurants, take aways etc. Lots of lovely shops for browsing everywhere. The beach is safe and patrolled right outside the door.

The weather was fabulous for winter, we slept with all the balcony doors open each night, listening to the waves.

This sets the benchmark for accommodation as far as we are concerned. HIGHLY recommended...

Can't wait to go back next winter!!!
