Due to bad weather we decided to drive up and stay in Coolangatta for a night prior to flying out the next morning. Having stayed in an Outrigger earlier that week we decided to stay at Twin Towns. Booking directly online with immediate confirmation was a relief. We asked for a twin room $159.00.
When we arrived in the torrential rain we were pleased to find we had been upgraded to a 1 bed room apartment. This was fine as we could split the beds. The room was brilliant. Spotless, large, comfortable. large flatscreen tv in bedroom & lounge. Kitchen had all the amenities including full working oven & hobs, dishwasher & hidden away a washing machine & dryer - bliss!!! Small amount of detergent supplied.
Staff were wonderful, especially Shayne on reception who helped us print off boarding passes as the onsite internet cafe had closed.
We didnt get to use the spa or pool due to the lateness of our arrival but had a look around. Both were spotless & welcoming, the gym fantastic..... they even have a small games room.
Underneath this hotel is a super sized 'RSL like' venue with live old peoples music, pokies, live cabaret & then the hotel's 'restaurants' This was in fact a food court. It was actually quite good & we opted for the roast from the carvey. This is not fine dining but it was tasty & plentiful. Pizza, Asian, cakes, coffee places & cafe food were also available with the option to take out back to your room.
Due to torrential weather this hotel suited us perfectly for our one night & driving down the promenade the next morning i can see how this spot is popular.
Airport is only 7 mins away by car - didnt hear any planes though. perfect for early departures.
Parking was free & elevators were secure (requiring a room key to get it to move), up to rooms.
No stairs involved unlike Outrigger Surfers Paradise where a change of elevator & half a set of stairs are required to get luggage from the carpark to room.
Internet in the rooms was extortionate but they do have a 'cafe'. Reception also provide FREE use of iPads in public areas where wifi is free. This is a selling point on its own.
The most noticeable bad thing about this place was the selling of umbrellas for $15. This was during a period of storms & flooding in the Gold Coast area. It didnt appear any complimentary umberellas were available for people who just wanted to cross the street to the shop.
For the short period we were at the Twin Towns Outrigger, we we very impressed how such a large place had such a cosy feel about it. I will most certainly be staying here again.

My husband and I came to see a show at Twin Towns Club and we were so pleased that we decided to stay overnight at Outriggers. The service was great, the room was fresh, clean, comfortable and we enjoyed having a drink on our balcony. What I really appreciated the most was the connecting, fully enclosed, walkway to the club. It felt as if the club was just a wonderful extension of the resort and we were able to access it without being exposed to traffic or weather. The extensive buffet breakfast also had a chef ready to cook if what you wanted wasn't on the buffet. What a perfect start to the day. Oh yes, we will be back!

Thank you for your glowing review, it is greatly appreciated.

Outrigger Twin Towns Resort manages the two accommodation towers and we work in closely with Twin Towns Services Club to provide our guests with a seamless resort experience. An overhead, secured walkway joins the resort to the Club which allows you to check in, park your vehicle and not leave the resort for your entire stay, if you so please!

We encourage all of our guests to make use of the five restaurants, function areas, entertainment venues and facilities featured at Twin Towns Services Club. For those who have not yet seen the $21 million Club refurbishment, it is a must!

We look forward to welcoming you and your husband back to the resort so that you can experience it all again!

This was the worst accommodation we had on our 4 week trip to Oz. we stayed in 2 bed apartment. Hotel was massive, dated, tired & Impersonable. Not enough sunbeds. No free wifi but there was an Internet room that you could use. We didn't eat in hotel. The restaurants reminded me of a 70's cruise liner decor, self service & un imaginative food. Good location but don't expect much.

Stayed for a night and really enjoyed the stay even though it was raining. Great facilities and nice front desk service. We stayed in one of the apartments which had great flat screen tvs and all you would need if you stayed for a week or so.

Enjoyed so much that we booked for 3 nights over Easter the morning we checked out. Hopefully we get a higher floor with better ocean views.

Two negatives - 1. There was sand in the bed. 2. We would really like the option to pay more to ensure an ocean view on a higher floor.

Hopefully we get lucky in Easter and request is granted.

My wife and I stayed here on the January 2013 long weekend when the cyclone was lashing the Gold Coast coastline. According to our booking we were accommodated in a Deluxe Room. Our stay was comfortable and the room on the first floor was spacious and well furnished. The one thing I really appreciated was the soundproofing of the room from the noise of the howling gale and from people in the corridors and the opening and closing of doors. Given that the Resort an adjunct to the Twin Towns Services Club this was a definite bonus.
The room had a small fridge which was more than ample for the two of us with a kitchenette. For the price it was great value.
Free undercover parking in the bowels of the building was also included in the booking.
The resort is also only about 125 metres to the beach.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your recent stay with us at Outrigger Twin Towns Resort. We are pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us, despite the cyclonic weather brought to the area by cyclone Oswald during the Australia Day long weekend.

Located in the heart of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads, Outrigger Twin Towns Resort has recently upgraded its outdoor pool deck areas to coincide with a $21 million refurbishment of the adjoining Twin Towns Services Club, which is linked to the resort by an overhead walkway and will be hosting a stellar line-up of entertainers in 2013.

We hope to welcome you back to the resort to experience the destination in sunshine.

Great place to stay, my fiancé and I had a fabulous stay. Staff on front desk ( we arrived late at night ) were fantastic! Room was spotless and beautiful! We used and loved the convenience of the buggy service and enjoyed the conversation with the driver. Next time ill go to the day spa! We highly recommend the outrigger to other couples having some time away together in noosa.
