“Great Bed and Breakfast, lovely hosts!”
Reviewed January 1, 2009

We stumbled across Inglebrae via the internet, and are so glad we did. We stayed for three nights and couldn't have asked for a better break.

The house is wonderfully clean and tidy, with beautiful old antiques, and charming original features. We booked a twin room and had our own gorgeous bathroom with huge shower, roll topped bath, and separate toilet.

Christina and John are wonderful hosts and made sure our stay was perfect. They served up a huge, hot and tasty breakfast on their verandah, and were more than happy to give us lifts to various places of interest in the Bundaberg area. Whether it was an umbrella to fend off the rain, or a hot lunch before we headed off, nothing was too much trouble.

We'd thoroughly recommend Inglebrae to anyone visiting Bundaberg!

Driving from Airlie Beach to Brisbane , we arrived in Bundaberg, It had been raining for 2 days solid. We found the Inglebrae from our guide book ( Footprint for East Coast Australia) . John and Christina were perfect hosts, supplying a lovely home, really thoughtful little extras and a warm welcome. The house is a beautifully restored Queenslander. Our room was gorgeous and very victorian in style with lovely throws, cotton cushions and an old fashioned window seat. The room had a lovely set of double doors into a bathroom. We had full coffee and tea making facilities, full packet of biscuits and a small bottle of port. The bathroom had everything wed ever need plus bathrobes and slippers.
The next morning we had a choice of both cereals, yoghurt, toast and a full cooked breakfast. and all the usual trimmings. John & Christina have had their B & B for years and guests just keep coming back and its easy to see why.

  • Liked — sumptious room
  • Disliked — due to 2 dys rain and a sharp drop in temperature Id have liked a small heater

What a lovely B & B. Very oldie worldly. A real warm welcome with tea and snack on the verandah. Don't worry that this has no star rating as I talked to the owner about this and the particular things that they would have to do to be rated would to a great extent spoil the whole ambience of the rooms. This would normally be rated, as compared to other properties we stayed at in Eastern Australia, as 4 and a half stars. The breakfast was excellent and enjoyed on the verandah. There was even a decanter of port in the rooms. A quite wonderful experience. Thoroughly reccommended.
