Owner description: Under the careful and crafty eyes of our Distillers, Blenders and Bondsmen, millions of litres of Bundaberg Rum are aged to perfection here at the Bundaberg Rum Distillery. After protecting and ageing our rums since the 70s, the grand old guardian of the distillery Bondstore #7, has been given new life by being transformed into our immersive Bundaberg Rum Museum. Inside, you’ll walk through a series of 75,000 litre American White Oak Vats – the very same vats which have matured hundreds of thousands of litres of rum (after being emptied and rebuilt of course). Inside these vats live a sensory experience where you can see, touch and smell your way through our rich history in creating Australia’s Favourite Rum – Bundaberg Rum. Please ensure that you arrive at least 20-30 mins early for your tour, especially for the last tour of the day and during school holiday periods. Unfortunately Flammable devices; matches and lighters, as well as any item with a battery including; watches, cameras, and mobile phones, pose a fire hazard to the Distillery and cannot be taken on tour. Lockers are provided free of charge to store these items whilst inside the Distillery on tour. If you have a medically required device such as a hearing aid, give us a call in advance so we can make arrangements for you to bring those items with you.

“Tour to remember for years to come!”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

Over visiting family in the April school holidays in Brisbane we decided to do a road trip to Bundey with 11(adults and kids) of us. First port of call and a must do is the Distillery. Three of us did the tour and thoroughly enjoyed it, from the two awesome ladies who were our tour guides to the much anticipated tastings at the end. The tour gave you a indepth history of the plant and what they have put into the local community (floods of recent years).
The end of tour and tastings were great and buying the products were easy and rewarding. Only problem I encounted was my chilled mug got smashed by airline on way home to NZ and went thro our belongings. BUGGER!
A absolute must do and what a great place. I will be back!

“Great tour - shame about the prices in the gift shop.”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

The tour of the rum distillery was very good. Sam and Manuella were great tour guides and they gave a great overview of the production process and the factory.

Prior to the tour there is an opportunity to view the museum which is insightful too.

The only let-down to the trip is that the spirits are cheaper in the Bottle Shop than they are in the actual gift shop. Needless to say we will be heading up to the Bottle Shop to get our preferred tipple in stead of straight from the distillery.

“Love the place”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

We did another tour this year, the second in as many years.

We had a great time and I believe the tour guide we had made it as good as it was.

Only issue I had was that our group had what felt like over 30 people. Made it difficult to move around and was a little cramped.

All in all, we love Bundy and every time we visit we will go for another tour!!

“Rum Factory”
Reviewed April 24, 2014 via mobile

I first visited the factory in 1988.
I visited with my husband the other day, as he had not been before. My God! The tour is about a quarter of what it was, probably twice the price! It would pay to skip this "watered down" tour and go straight to the shop. I am sorry Bundy, my husband was unimpressed and so was I!. Won't be back.
