Stayed here for a night when traveling with my brother August 17th 2013 and for the price we paid, I was expecting a lot better! We had Room 103 on the ground floor and there was no window we could open for fresh air only a door, but that wasn't an option to leave open when we were asleep so we were forced to use the air conditioning to create a breeze. The air conditioning had a sign to say we couldn't run it at anything less than 25C as it would block the pipes and create a drip into the room so it was a hot and stuffy nights' sleep! Because there was limited natural lighting we were forced to use the lights at all times when we were awake. There were not enough power points to charge the necessities of life these days - 2 mobile phones and 2 computers - overnight, plus only 1 rubbish bin and 1 cake of soap! On the morning of our departure we drove out of the underground car-park and turned left onto Quay Street as the law requires only to find it blocked at the other side of the motel due to a Cultural Festival. So I had to use the Motel Driveway to turn around so I could drive the opposite way on a one-way street to get out to a main road. Surely the Motel Receptionist would have known this and advised us accordingly when paying our bill to prevent this inconvenience? As I said at the top, for the amount of money we paid, I was expecting better because I have had better service and comfort elsewhere for less money.

The rooms are large and tastefully decorated, all the mod cons and good service as well
Easy to find and has covered secure parking.
The team was very helpful at the front desk and gave good recommendations to sightseeing and where to eat
Will stay there again

On the river. Nice rooms and great balcony bar to watch he the sunset.

Internet is slow. But that is everywhere in Australia. This has to be 200 chars. Not there yet...nearly there...nearly there...nearly 200 chars...cricket what do you want me to say...fireworks at sunset?

This is our preferred choice when staying in Bundaberg

Stayed recently, first time for a couple of years. The hotel and rooms are still in good condition, a bit of a surprise as we were there a couple of weeks after the second of two devastating floods (one was a record flood). the only indication was the junk and wrecked yachts along the river bank.

We stayed in a riverside spa room, which was only $25 more than a standard queen room and got us a river view. It was a fairly 3-4 star typical motel room, but had a little verandah overlooking the river and a small alcove/nook with a table and chairs. Two chairs was nice for a couple like us, many places only provide one chair. Room and bathroom was clean and the only issue was one of the holland blinds in the alcove didn't work.

The nicest thing about staying here is the bar and restaurant by the water. Oddly the deck by the river (which used to have a swimming pool) had no tables and chairs, this may have been a flood issue. The restaurant meals were ok but not spectacular value for the money we paid for them, but dinner by the river was a very pleasant experience (Go down early or reserve a table closest to the river). We also went there for breakfast, which was excellent.

The staff were all quite friendly and helpful. Overall we expected a nice stay here, and we weren't disappointed.

Room Tip: Get a room with a river view, worth the extra
