“Can you really do gourmet dining on this scale?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014 via mobile

There must be an awful lot of rich people in Wollongong, because this high-cost dining venue - which is absolutely huge - was packed! The food and service reflected the industrial scale - our main courses came out before we had finished our sashimi ... and my salmon was definitely more cooked than I had requested. At $80 each, we all had a nice meal - but none of us really got value for money.

“A good find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2014 via mobile

The service was excellent, lovely location. The wild barramundi in coconut sauce was excellent. The Slow-cooked pork was slightly dry, the marble grade 9 wagyu was perfectly cooked. Delicious home-made gelato to finish.

“Delicious lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2014

Decided to lunch here while in Wollongong and ended up having the seafood platter for two.
Huge servings and food was delicious.
Served our cold part of the platter as entrée and then followed with the hot side.
Waitress was Diana and she was friendly, informative and a pleasure to have serve our table.

“Not great”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2014

I had not been to this restaurant for years as I felt it was overpriced for the quality of the food but I had been invited there for lunch and decided to give it another go.

Unfortunately, things have not changed. The prices are very high for food which is just adequate. I ordered grilled fish with a lemon butter sauce served with salad and chips. The fish and the chips were both tasteless and the salad was basic. The bread and the service was great, although it was a bit of a battle to get some extra salt.

As it was a public holiday period, the menu was limited but this is not for me an area of complaint. The fact, however, that there were less dishes to cater for should have enhanced the quality of the food.

The resturant occupies a great site and the views are terrific. The external ambience deserves better.
