We stayed here for 3 days with all of my family in various cabins (all up there were about 40 of us). We had arrived for my little brothers wedding.

It's an ideal place to stay if there are a lot of you! Cabins are clean and basic, but we were quite happy here and the accommodation is nice and cheap.

Ideally located on the beach and short drive to Wollongong shops.

I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Our families were all spread out over the resort but we were near the road it didn't matter though as the entire resort is very quiet.

Stayed for a weekend in a one bedroom unit. The accommodation is basic, could do with a revamp but it was clean and comfortable, good kitchen facility. Good location, close to beach and short drive to shops. Indoor pool, mini golf are great for families though again looks like they have not been maintained.
Highlights - pool, beach, bistro across the road
Lows - staff are far from friendly, needs some tlc around the place.

My husband. myself and our 2 children stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend, the resort was packed and a little bit noisy but overall a great place to stay. They had lots of activities availble ie. a large 25m heated indoor pool, 2 spa's, and indoor tennis court,a games room as well as 2 outside tennis courts, mini golf, bikes to hire and a small play area for the smaller kids (Tennis, mini golf and bike hire you have to pay a small fee). The bike track leads to a great park with lots of play equiptment and netted swimming/pool area on Towradgi beach which is a short 10 min bike ride away. I booked at short notice and they only had a motel style room left. It could have been a bit cleaner, the kitchen floor was really sticky and dirty (I actually got down and cleaned it with wet wipes), the room did have a musty odour but nothing unbearable. I would definatly stay here again but I would book earlier and get a decent room!!

We visited here in Winter and expected more for the money we paid. We stayed in a one bed unit which was very dated and had an odour. The facilities are good for children and we would have been satisfied if the price was lower.

We stayed in a one bedroom unit. Take a look at the photo below and you'll see what most of the accommodation looks like at this place. Only the privately owned cabins and the really expensive luxury hire rooms/cabins are different.
Inside it is all fake wood veneer and cheap carpet, cheap furniture. All the units are joined together in 'blocks' of about four to six units. It's like the demountable classrooms at some schools, they are above ground and access to your front door is via stairs.
All footsteps made by your neighbours can be heard clearly in your unit. If you are lucky enough to have kids staying next door, who tend to run about quite a bit more than adults would, it will sound like a herd of animals running around next door.
Every time the neighbours dropped something, scraped furniture across the floor, opened and shut drawers and flushed the loo, we heard it all clearly.

These units are not soundproof in any way. Be warned if you are staying on Friday or Saturday night. There is a huge pub a short walk down the road, from which you can hear music playing til about 1am. It sounded like someone in the Resort was plalying music but we found out it was the pub.
Many of the Resort's adult guests seemed to have gone to the pub the night we were there and came back rowdy and loud from 10pm right through til after 1am.

One of the Resort's rules is 'for the comfort of all guests, noise must cease by 10pm'. No one followed this rule when we were there, not even parents with kids.

Next door's kids kept laughing, shouting and jumping around til at least midnight. It sounded like they were banging and smashing furniture but I guess they weren't, it's just the way the sound travels through the walls. We never once heard an adult voice telling them to be quiet.

Peeking outside after 11pm, I observed groups of kids aged around 8 or 9 years through til 15 or so walking around the park without their parents. These kids would shout to other kids (instead of walking over to them and talking in a normal tone), talk loudly, and shriek and woop with laughter. Where were their parents?

A group of footballers were also staying the same night as us, and they were also a rowdy bunch.

At around 2am, loud vomiting was heard followed by a lot of loud knocking on some one else's front door, and someone calling to the person inside that room.

Apparently security could have been called about this, the receptionist person said. Please take note of this if you stay at this place and have similar noise problems. Security is not just for when your stuff gets stolen.

The beds were okay to sleep on. A small spider was found on mine. A cockroach was found in the kitchen. The room looked old and tired and cheap, the price we paid was not worth it. These rooms are worth no more than $50 per night in the current state they are in. We did stay another time before this, very similar room. It had no bedroom, the bed was in the lounge room and the bunk beds were in the front hall near the door. That time we had no neighbours and it was quiet. Decided to come back for the excellent pool, despite the cheap accomm, boy that was a bad idea.

The indoor pool and spas are great. Clean and comfortable. Just be warned that several schools and swim groups use the pool before and after school and on Saturday mornings. Possibly other times. The whole pool could be closed off or just part of it. I swam in one half of the pool whilst a toddler swim class used the other half.

A real shame about the accommodation. I hope the owners might consider replacing the sad, old units for something more modern?

If you bring ear plugs and you are the type of person who could fall asleep in a thunderstorm with the TV on and music on and all sorts of noise surrounding you, then go ahead and try this place just for the great pool and spa.

Oh and don't expect a sleep in if it's busy. Noise started again by 7am. The footballers across from us were up by 7:30am setting up a BBQ for breakfast and were already sculling beer with a large plastic pipe attached to a funnel.

Room Tip: Pick a room with air con if you are going in summer or spring. Ceiling fans just don't cut it. Go in the quiet off season. Less neighbours, less noise.
