“new owner -not so good now”
Reviewed July 14, 2014

unfortunately there is a new owner and our weekend breakfasts are not the same. The girls are still friendly but the food now ordinary and expensive.
The breakfast menu has changed to have'' Persian'' dishes-that are really tasteless.
A lot of the menu featured cream cheese which included a small taco style shell filled with cream cheese and walnuts with a piece of limp rocket.
Very rich for that time of the day. We will not be returning.

“Beware the Bircher Muesli”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

I recently at breakfast at "Flavours on Crown".

The waitress/barista was friendly and my cappuccino delicious. The Bircher Muesli was attractively presented and tasted OK (I've had much better). It was what happened to the inside of my mouth after having eaten the bircher that was weird. Whatever was in the dish totally dried my mouth of saliva. This unsettling sensation continued for quite some hours after I'd finished the meal and no amount of water could alleviate it.

I've eaten Bircher Muesli countless times at various locations around the world and this is the first occasion I've experienced this sensation.

Anyway - enough of the Bircher. The cafe is clean and the decor quirky. Members of the local constabulary were also in for breakfast so that speaks volumes for the quality of the food (particularly when Macca's is more or less around the corner!).

I'd eat here again, but would avoid the Bircher Muesli.

“great for breakfast”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

We often visit for breakfast on the weekend.
The coffee is great and they have an innovative menu with some specials.
Try the stuffed French toast.
Small seating area outside on the street. Nothing to look at but pleasant enough.
The service is good and they open early.
Relatively new owner who has revamped menu and service.
