Owner description: Nan Tien is very different from most tourist attractions because there is so much to offer: the visual delights of grandeur architecture, art & culture including unique exhibitions & festivals, Buddhist festivals, vegetarian culinary delights, educational & healthy life style classes & retreats, accommodation, top class conference and auditorium facilities as well as beautiful gardens & walks. There is also the spiritual and religious experience that is unforgettable and even life changing for some.

We have been many times often taking overseas visitors there for lunch or morning tea. The grounds and gardens are lovely and it is very peaceful. The architecture is superb.

Great Clean Grounds , Soak in a little bit of the Buddhist religion . Stay for the day to learn what this religion has to offer and a bit of self awareness/ personal development. Stroll the grounds and enjoy the country side while snapping a few photos.

I've been several times and it is definitely worth going to for a peaceful stroll around the beautiful grounds. I will return for that reason. However, without fail, I have found the staff to be quite intolerant of children, especially in the gift shop. There are cameras everywhere to ensure nothing is stolen, which while I do understand to be necessary, is still off-putting. The tea house earns one star from me- the food is quite horrible and extremely overpriced. I paid $12 on the weekend for a bowl of noodle mushroom soup. It contained TWO mushrooms, TWO slices of revolting tofu, TWO slices of carrot and a handful of cheap Asian greens. The hot chocolate my daughter ordered was undrinkable, as was the sickly sweet Kumquat tea. The jasmine and oolong teas are lovely and I'll be sticking to those in the future. Service was poor. There were no bowls left for splitting the soup, I was given my tea without a cup and we had to ask for the hot chocolate after waiting 30 minutes for it. It's not often I complain about a venue, but this place just has a touch of a mercenary, cold vibe which doesn't appeal to me.

A peaceful run by the female Monks. A truly rewarding day, not for those who like to socialize and meet new friends. A nice insight into the peace of Buddhism and meditation. A vegan lunch was included in the 50 dollar fee for the day.

Lovely cultural day out. Very peaceful, encouraging one to reflect on life. Good for the family and has lifts for those less able to the main parts of the temples.
