My wife and I dined here for a quite romantic dinner.
The service was excellent, we ordered black angus and waygu steaks, presentation and service are excellent but steaks were at best average.
We will try again as it hard to get such great service in a nice atmosphere, but we will order seafood.
Pitty view isn't better, rest located in different area of hotel

I had the seafood which was terrific. Those in our party who had steak or veal said it was not so good.

Four of us dined in the C Grill during a long weekend getaway at the Chifley Hotel.

The restaurant has a certain ambiance in a modern sort of way, and although we thought the Wagyu Steak was a little tougher than it should be, it was perfectly cooked (as ordered) and the remainder of our food was very good.

Food prices were about what we expected, but we all thought the wines were a little overpriced.

The standout of the evening was the service overseen by “Angela” and her staff-in-training. Nothing was a problem, and whilst the restaurant is more silver-service than casual, the staff maintained an air of being friendly and extremely efficient without exhibiting the snobbishness adopted by some so-called “better” restaurants.

A great night out enjoyed by all … we will certainly return.

I had the cheese souffle which was delicious and then the veal for main, which was tender and beautiful, served with fig and pumpkin lasagna which is unusual but happened to work.
My husband had the wagu beef, which wasn't great. It was tough and undercooked.
Staff were a little slow with drinks, but very knowledgable and lovely.
We had a nice time.

Staying at the hotel we booked here for dinner more for the convenience.

To our delight it was brilliant. Service could not have been any better. They were happy to customise a few dishes to suit our needs.

As for the food, it was good but parts could have been better. Steaks were all great, but the big dissapointment is the recommended Bombe Alaska for dessert. The frozen fruit it contained ruined the meringue and sponge, as it should have had more ice cream, but this is my opinion.

Overall it was a good dinner.
