“A welcome break on a long drive.”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

We stopped here for one night on our drive from Sydney to Brisbane. We had 2 rooms. One on the upper level which was lovely and freshly refurbished with gorgeous bathroom and the other one under neath it on the lower level, which was older and tired. and in need of a make over.

Someone has gone to a bit of effort with nice touches, some of them not really needed. but still.Like the word "Dream" above the bed... it annoyed me that it was glued on the wall on an angle. why?

We relaxed with drinks from the mini bar in the pool area. great to cool off and watch the sun go down.

We decided not to eat in the lovely restaurant as with a travelling family, it looked more like a special treat,( especially with tired ungrateful teenager) so we just drove through and got take aways from Red Rooster across the way.

The free internet was welcome as it is not always given in hotels...

The staff were friendly and helpful, but when we mentioned at the time of checking that we may swap rooms amongst ourselves she said it was strictly not allowed!!! haha funny. due to fire and recorded names in fires etc.
relaxing night sleep, quiet, even though its on the corner of the main highway.

Room Tip: we were on the upper level opp the restaurant. still ground floor.... nice renovated room. My siste...

Stayed one night and decided not to eat at restaurant because most main courses were over AU$30 with sides/salad additional. My "superior" room was tired and in need of refreshment. The air conditioner was too noisy to leave on all night and the room was hot without it.

No top sheet on the bed meant I had to remove the Doona/quilt from its cover to cool down.

Pool needed leaves, ants and a small frog to be removed.

It is close to the main shopping strip, but I feel the recent reviews here make this hotel sound better than it is for the price charged.

We were offered a renovated ground floor room or for a lesser amount and upstairs room. We chose the former and with a bonus drink at the bar before dinner the decision was a good one. The room was spacious for two people and the room with ensuite was well maintained. The restaurant was a surprise with a varied and interesting menu. The meals were well presented and prepared providing reasonable value the surprise being this was far better than the usual motel fare. We did not have breakfast in the motel but chose to leave early.
To approach the motel you have to take the old highway through the city as the bypass does not go into the city. The divergence is not far and is well worth while making the effort. There are a lot of renovated motels on the highway but this is well up to scratch

I had a one night stay at the Sanctuary Inn while travelling up to Northern NSW. The only hiccup was with the access card for the door not working. A trip back to reception and being issued a new card solved the problem. Our room was spacious, quiet and well fitted out. The bed was comfortable and allowed us a good nights rest. Each adult guest is given a voucher for a free drink which we enjoyed while dining in the "Lobby" restaurant on site. Service was excellent as was the food. This is not a budget motel by any means but if you don't mind paying for quality and service, this is the place for you.

Room Tip: We had a room on the eastern side towards the back and this helped reduce noise from the highway whi...

Recently refurbished family suite, which we only used as a couple. We were charged a corporate rate even though it was only for leisure, (I don't quite know why you are told what the full rate usually is, as I'm sure nobody ever would pay that rate). Apart from the pillows needing to be upgraded, we couldn't fault the room or service provided by staff on arrival or departure.

Stayed 3 nights recently on business and could not have picked a better place . After a very long flight it was nice to be checked in quickly with no hassles . With check in you receive a voucher for a complimentary beer if you eat in the Resteraunt. I had previous arrangements for dinners on my stay so did not eat there but the menu looks brilliant - although a bit pricey in parts - and look forward to eating there on my next visit. The room was great. Well appointed and spotless with very comfortable bed with crisp linen and good towels in the bathroom. Tv with foxtel and local channels is good when chilling out after a long day at work. There was a big crack going down the wall but as posted before after a long drought then big rains foundations may move causing this, but it did not take away from the quality of the room. Compliments also to the staff who were very helpful, friendly and efficient. Highly recommend and I will be back.

My partner and I stayed at the Best Western for one night a few weeks ago. We didn't spend much time there so I cannot comment on the facilities, restaurant etc, but we were very pleased with our room. We chose to pay a little extra (about $150) for a renovated room. The room had been tastefully renovated/decorated, and similar to accomodation in the city. Very comfortable bed and amazing bed sheets. The room was very clean and tidy, as was the bathroom (also well renovated). Quiet A/C. If I was staying longer (say a week), I would probably ask for a larger room but it was fine for our short trip.

Staff were very relaxed and friendly. I would be more than happy to stay here again.

Room Tip: Opt to stay in a renovated room. We stayed in Room 19, which did not front the busy street.
