Stayed here for 3 nights recently. Loved the Ocean view from the 5th Floor of our Hotel Room. So glad we had a room on the 5th Floor even though we had the cheaper room.

The indoor pool, spa and sauna also looked great even though we didn't use them.

The Hotel is right across the road from Town Beach and park is ideal for summer.

Would recommend this Property to everyone.

Room Tip: A high floor would you give you the best views

Booked through party as 2. Night package no complaints nice accommodation
Went to reception to return DVD around 9am doubled checked checkout for us was 11 receptionist said yes I will let cleaning staff know. Went next door for breakfast and received a call from hotel asking me if they could take extras for dinner on Friday night from my credit card I said wait until I come back to checkout and I will do it then. She hung up and proceeded to take funds anyway. We had to go back to receive an itemised account but not itemised from restaurant. I will follow this up with Scampis and it was ordinary to say the least.
Staff need to listen to what their customers say rather than just assuming.

Thank you for your feedback.

We are sorry to hear about the mix-up on checkout. We spoke to our staff member on reception who checked you out and she didn't hear you ask for her to wait, sorry it was just a misunderstanding. We apologise for this.

Thank you for your nice comments about the room and the rest of your stay. We hope you consider staying with us again next time.

I booked this as a last minute change from my planned accommodation and I'm so glad I did!

The hotel is a dream. Perfectly positioned opposite the sea with several beaches within 5 mins walk. The staff were extraordinarily friendly and very helpful.

The room was very clean and had a really lovely balcony overlooking the park and the sea beyond.

The internet is reasonably priced and the wifi in the rooms is a quick connection.

There's a brilliant breakfast place downstairs where they served delicious food and great coffee.

You're about a 10 minute walk into the town centre down William Street, or you can walk along the waterfront and see all the painted rocks along the path - trust me, they're great!

I highly recommend this super friendly and delightful hotel.

Over the years we have stayed many times in Port Macquarie on our way home to Brisbane from Sydney. By far the best place we have stayed in Port Macquarie is the Observatory! We have stayed in one of their hotel rooms - more than adequate - a lovely, spacious, well appointed room with a very nice outdoor glass-louvred 'loggia'. We enjoyed it so much there that we decided to stay for a week - this time in a delightful 1 bedroom unit. Beautiful views, an excellently appointed unit, everything you need for a comfy stay, good secure parking, spotlessly clean, and with great staff to help! The Observatory is also well located - and for an easy night out, try the nearby Bowls Club! There is also a great restaurant in the Observatory! We are just home from a second 5-day stay in a 1 bedroom unit - we just don't bother even thinking about staying anywhere else! I also commend the cleaning staff on their honesty, as well as their diligence - I accidentally left some valuable jewellery on a bedside table - but the jewellery was safely looked after until our return! Kay of Brisbane.

Room Tip: I like the higher floors with an ocean view! The passing traffic can be heard from the lower rooms...

Thank you so much for your fantastic 5-Star Review!

We appreciate that you always choose to stay at The Observatory. The one bedroom ocean view apartments are excellent when you stay for more than a couple of nights as you have a full kitchen, laundry and your bedroom faces straight over Town Beach!

Thank you also for your lovely feedback about our cleaning staff - I will pass on your comments to the team.

We look forward to seeing you again!

Highly recommend The Observatory! We've stayed here twice now and both times, the rooms have been very comfortable. A bottle of wine and a couple of beautiful chocolates welcomed us. Lovely ocean views from the balcony!

The best part of each stay has been the staff. All of them are extremely helpful and friendly, even when I called two hours before arrival to change my booking to the correct date. I can't praise the service highly enough!

The Observatory is our new halfway point on the Pacific Highway.

Our family of 4 stayed at a 2-bedroom apartment. It was very nice and comfortable with very spacious rooms. The kitchen was large and well equipped. There was plenty of room for all of us. Sharing 1 bathroom between 4 people was a bit of a problem especially in the mornings. Other than that, I can't think of anything else we didn't enjoy.

Thank you for your lovely review of your stay with us.

We are pleased to hear that you loved your apartment. Just for next time if you would like 2 bathrooms, we have a 2 bedroom deluxe apartment which has 2 bathrooms. These are ideal for families with older children and 4 adults sharing as you have an adjoining door that gives you additional privacy.

We hope to see you on your next visit to Port Macquarie.
