The Quality Inn was great! We paid $99 on wotif.com and it ended up being a really nice place. It is quite central - not as central as some other places which are smack in the town centre, but only about a 3 minute drive away. The room was nice - comfortable bed, clean bathroom, big plasma screen TV with Austar channels. Great for a quick stay. My only complaint would be that you can hear everyone outside the room if you are on the ground floor like we were. But all in all, definitely recommended if you're passing by Port Macquarie or staying a couple of days.

We found this motel from Wotif.com. It was away from the main part of Port Macquarie and it was really quiet. This is not a bad thing but we drove to the main marina that was only two minutes drive. There are so many hotels in Port Macquarie. They are spread out all along the coastal / beaches.

The quality Inn is immaculate in cleaniness. We had the mid range room and it had a 80cm widescreen LCD tv which was great for watching the free pay TV. We also had a DVD player so i brought my own DVDs. Some hotels force you to pay for movies. There was a large safe, microwave, electric frying pan and the other regular appliances you see in hotels. We had an electric bar heater and a split system reverse cycle air conditioner.

Breakfast was good with it arriving as scheduled. The mini bar had 20 different types of soft drinks (soda) and alcohol. All the parking was under cover so hot sunny days won't be a problem.

Our room had a small table with chairs for breakfast. There was a fax and broadband was available for only $6 a day. Our small balconey opened up facing bushland and we had a view over the neighbourhood.

I don't hesistate to say that Quality Inn & Suites Port Macquarie was the best hotel during our 4-week-trip from Sydney to Cairns. After we had arrvived one day before our booking actually was, they found a solution and gave us not only a room but also an upgrade! The hotel is situated at the end of a side street, some 30 minutes walk to town center and harbour. Parking was under a roof on the inner courtyard. Unfortunately some massive construction works took place in the neighbourhood causing some noise but that was not the owners fault. Quality Inn had been recently renovated with most of the rooms refurbished. We had a kitchenette, Plasma-TV (Austar-TV complimentary), minibar, A/C and a silent working ceiling fan; the bathroom was modern and clean. Room service was efficient. The owners were a friendly couple, even after we killed our rooms doorlock. They also were very helpful when our camcorder went on strike. The room was at 130 AU$.

we stayed at this hotel for the australia day long weekend.
i was very impressed at the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel as i was not expecting much for the amount of money that we paid, however we received 4 star accomodation for 3 star prices.
you will need a car to get around as it is not within walking distance to beaches or town but only a few minutes drive away. would not recommend long stays if you are wanting to cook as the kitchenette only provides a microwave & very small electric frypan - no cook top or pots, etc and only small mini bar.
service was great - very helpful & polite, offered any info needed and they even serviced the room daily!!!!!!something i was not expecting.
great tv & dvd player in the room which kept the little one entertained at night.
would definately recommend this hotel for a short stay to anyone.

The Quality Inn offered up a nice room with an 81 cm LCD TV and DVD player, mini bar and kitchenette at a very reasonable price.
The hotel is a longish walk to the Town Centre and definitely a drive to beaches.
Construction on the site next door unfortunately woke us up at 7 am each morning. I would expect that it will continue until at least March 07.
I would definitely stay here again.

We were there on the 25th Nov afternoon on our way to Sydney. Most accomodation in town occupied, with luck we came to this hotel and we paid A$250 for two room for 7 peoples.
Room is clean and well maintain. You have ceiling fan and air-con, one wall mounted (about 40 inches) LCD TV in the living and one TV in the master. Good for overnight stay.
If you plan you stay here please note that there is big expanding construction going on here at present and will last for months.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. Friendly and helpful staff, spotless and spacious room with a comfortable bed, lots of free in-room extras, very quiet neighbourhood yet central to everything, hearty cooked breakfast (additional charge but most reasonable, with a deck outside overlooking distant water views. We could not fault this hotel. At the price, it's a bargain (we used Wotif).
