“Good Choice and tasty but price has gone up for Buffet”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

I have been coming to Port Mac for a number of years and Port City has always been on the menu.
There are two areas to dine - during the day the cafe downstairs does a good line in tasty and well priced Bistro food. From Melts and wraps to full dinners, there is something to please here. The food is ordered at the coffee bar and prepared fresh out back - I have always enjoyed a lunch here.

For the evening, there is a buffet on the upper level. The buffet has a regular seafood night which is a couple of dollars more than the others nights but I was dismayed to find that a regular night is now $23 a head. Yes, you get to eat as much as you like, but it has shot from a very reasonable $15 with nothing added to the menu.
The choice is Seafood, Salads, Roast and Asian for Entrees and a choice of desserts. The 6 years I have been coming here the food has always been popular and of a decent quality, Except the bread and butter pudding - that is just a dodgy egg pudding - avoid! But I fear it is no longer the value for money it once was and rather than a regular experience will be an ocassional visit.

“Port City Bowling Club Restaurant review”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

Regarding the restaurant, the best I can say is that it is average. A lot of dishes ran out quickly.

The only dish I liked was the one I saw a staff member getting and it was a lamb stew, I tried it and it was great. The club was pretty empty as it was a Tuesday night and $15 ph for the meal.

Would I go back? Probably not, nothing wrong with the club or restaurant, I just did not like the atmosphere.

“Cheap as chips”
Reviewed August 30, 2012 via mobile

Went with our family and a few others, the food was not too bad especially for the price($15)all you can eat. Some of the food was not exactly fresh either, and the roast meat was too tough to chew. We all left very full though.
