Owner description: HUMPBACK WHALES MIGRATE ALONG THE EAST COAST FROM MAY TO NOVEMBER. Port Macquarie Cruise Adventures operates 3 different styles of cruise boats and is the longest established privately owned cruise business in the Port Macquarie area. Our largest boat, Discovery 2 (54 pax) was built for the Murray River. The shallow draft allows us to navigate to impossible places thru 2 national parks. See wetlands, endangered species of birds and dolphins on most trips. We care for the environment and are actively involved with marine mammal rescue and research.

Wonderful trip to see the whales in a fast boat. Great commentary and plenty of whales! The operators were very friendly and professional. You could almost touch fhe whales, this was a once in a lifetime experience.

“Red boats do go faster”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

We holiday at Port Macquarie once or twice a year and this year decided to go on a whale watch on the red inflatable with Cruise Adventures at first I thought I would get wet but not one drop of water comes into the boat and for the $39 we paid each was worth it for the ride let alone the seven whales we saw - the beauty of the boat is the speed so we were able to quickly get to each group of whales in no time - staff seemed very knowledgable and only too keen to please and also supplied us with good waterproof jackets to wear will be back in Port Macquarie later in the year and will give it another go - will also try the eco rivers crusies or sunset cruise next time

“Whales and dolphins and a great experience”
Reviewed May 30, 2013 via mobile

Went whale watching and they gave us a boat to ourselves awesome service and a Great tour. Seen about 10 humpback whales and got up close. Then was shown pretty little dolphins on the way back in which frolicked around the boat. Went out in the 500hp red boat great fun and fast. Girls enjoyed it. Friendly staff and a great outing. Highly recommended

Arrived at 1.30pm after driving 1 hour 40 minutes plenty of time for 2pm river cruise, was told by opperators your the only people booked we need at least $100 to go out.Hang around hopefully other people will arrive. No one came.Offered boat ride on fast boat $100.To expensive to fast. They had mobile number
no phone call.Unprofessional poor practice, wasted day of holidays, waste of petrol money.

This one has me puzzled! Cruise Adventures advertising states that all cruises are subject to minimum numbers and weather. It can't be helped that there were no other bookings or that they had travelled so far.
These people were phoned at least one hour before the scheduled departure time and left a message. They were shown that their number had been rung on the call log screen on the phone.
This review is dishonest and appears to have been done after the travellers spoke to another cruise operator at the wharf. Did the other cruise company do their 2pm cruise?
