Billabong zoo was a great way to spend a few hours. The zoo is so well looked after - the animals, gardens and the amenities are all really well kept. The enclosures make it easy to see the animals too - the wombat den is a really ingenious way to see them. I highly recommend seeing the zoo.

9:00am opening,$30 entry fee 7 days a week for adults under 3 is free.roughly spend 2-3 hours there getting to see some great close up experiences of animals from lions cheetas cassowarys and penquins aswell as your aussie based locals with even a albino wallaby..my kid has a great time feeding the kangaroos ($1.50 a bag of food at reception) and petting them so only a small price to pay for the day to see a happy kid.

Lovely place but small its not busy and huge like taronga but has a good variety for smaller children - nice selection of food for smaller place and clean and tidy

We took a walk without tour guide and it takes around 35 minutes. Tour guide, if you are interested is free of charge on site. Many nice trees and wild turkeys walking around :)

A zoo is probably the best place to see a range of Australian animals and this place was charming. All the animals look well cared for in a space adequate for their individual needs.

We love the koalas and you can get close to them. We think Harley was upstaged by the year old baby performing impromptu tricks in the branches. Typical youngster!

Buy some kangaroo food as the wallabies and kangaroos love it and will eat gently out of you hand in the open enclosure.

The croc Shrek bigs himself up a little, however was gently sleeping when we viewed him!

Definitely worth a few hours and suitable for all ages.

A small place growing all the time. Very peaceful surroundings. If you attended all the animal talks you could stretch the length of the visit out. Worth a look.

We took some overseas visitors and we had a wonderful experience. The grounds are well kept and shady and the cafe very pleasant. The ability to get close and personal with the animals was great. The Koala cuddle was a highlight for them and Shrek the croc was spectacular. The presentations were informative, but just one piece of advice. One of the female presenters spoke VERY fast. Our overseas visitors whose English is excellent could not understand her and we Aussies even had trouble. She may have been pressed for time, but something for her to bear in mind. Overall a great day!

What a great place to take kids. The presentations are very informative and well done. The animals all look well looked after and are very close to observe. Being able to interact with the wallabies, koalas and some reptiles is so thrilling for little and big kids. The food could be better, maybe some toasted sandwiches on offer instead of full meals but there is a bbq area and you can byo food and drink. Thoroughly recommend it.

Spent the day with 2 grandchildren. They were kept busy and informed. A reasonably priced family entry with lots to see and do. The venue is kept in excellent condition and staff were great.

Went with grand kids (7 & 3) and they loved it We arrived early so were able to see feeding sessions and wander in between. We (3 adults) were totally astonished that the keeper feeding the lions was in the enclosure alone.
The animals seem content enough though to be honest unless a big cat was pacing back & forth it would be hard to judge
We have been several times now & the only aspect that disappoints is that the wombat den area stinks. No matter the time of day the overpowering smell of animal urine is all pervasive. Surely at 10.15 in the morning the area should not smell as it would have been hosed out before opening or late the day before
Overall the kids enjoyed themselves which was the main reason for the visit.
Time wise 3 hours is probably about the max needed for young children
