“Perfect as always !!!!!”

We have dinned here on many occasions for both lunch and dinner, the service, food and wine have always been to a very high standard. Most recently we enjoyed dinner with my brother and his wife who were visiting from Hawaii, and Jonathon ( a very personable and professional waiter) made the experience very special. My brother left commenting that " You don't get food and service like that in Hawaii"
Thanks Roberts!!
And Jonathon ;)

“WOW!!!”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

My new favourite restaurant, I only wish I lived closer as it would become a regular 'date night' treat. I have friends who go to the Hunter Valley all the time so I'll be telling everyone they HAVE to eat at Roberts! What an amazing place!! You feel like you're on a film set when you arrive except that it's all real. I loved the private dining room and lounge room. The restaurant really takes you back in time, which is the first reason you should go but when you try the food OMG it's just an amazing experience on all your senses. The food is so fresh with an emphasis on local produce including lots of the vegetables from the huge kitchen garden which you can walk around. We enjoyed the best meal we've EVER HAD, so sophisticated and exciting but honest and delicious as well, seriously, you cannot go to the Hunter Valley without having a meal here, you will not forget it and we can't wait to get back and try more of the dishes! “Lovely Lunch”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

Relaxing lunch, warm welcome and yummy food. Service was friendly and quality was excellent. The burger was outstanding and my wife had the Tempura Ricotta filled Zucchini Flower, which I LOVED after tasting and had to have one too!!! Even though it was busy the service was friendly and efficient. Wine list was excellent and I rolled out after finishing with a hearty cheese plate and a sticky. Will visit again when next in The Hunter.

“Could not be more disappointing”
Reviewed September 9, 2013 via mobile

We live locally and were considering going to Roberts for Christmas lunch. As it was our wedding anniversary we decided to go for lunch and then discuss the Christmas options - seemed like a good plan.....
We booked for 1300 on a Thursday. Seated outside all looked good but after an hour and a half we had had one glass of wine before our starter arrived. My wife ordered the zucchini flower stuffed with cheese and pine nuts. She found one pine nut and a dried ball which might have been cheese. My gruyere soufflé was a joke. The soufflé was one cm in height, tough as old boots and clearly pre prepared and probably frozen. We checked on the status of our mains and when we got the answer we cancelled the order and left
The person we were expecting to talk to about Christmas never appeared
The service standard was as amateur as it was possible to be.
The food was a total disappointment.
In earlier days when this was run by Robert Molines this place was so special. How sad Robert must be to see his name still linked to Roberts. Go to Bistro Molines and see him there and show you a top quality restaurant

What a way to celebrate your anniversary. 14 of us will go else where for Christmas

PS. The wine was good! Always follow Andrew Thomas

“Best meal I've ever had!”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

Went to Roberts on a whim last week for my birthday. Lovely ambience- fireplace, soft lighting, antique furnishings. Had zucchini flowers for entree, trout and kingfish parcel for main and banana parfait with chocolate peanut butter mousse and popping candy for dessert- all dishes beautifully cooked and presented, delicious and fresh! Good size servings and reasonably priced for what you get. Wine was tasty as well. Made my bday really special :)
