Nice to have a break from wines!
We stopped for lunch here but they only did very large dishes - we both had a steak sandwich which was huge but quite tasty.
Good Irish cider and beers on tap.

Thank Charliet

Visited Harrigan's this afternoon (Sunday) and decided we would have lunch there, which was a huge mistake. The ordering was a long and painful process (25 minutes to order) which should have been a good indicator of what was to come and if we hadn't of been with guests, my husband and I would have left at this point. We ordered 4 meals (at the same time) and after another lengthy wait, one meal was delivered and eaten before the other three arrived. We chased the staff twice only to be told it's coming and I got the impression this happens on a regular basis as it wasn't a surprise to the waitress that we didn't have a completed order and she certainly didn't apply any sense or urgency to seeing where the rest of the order was. When it finally arrived, minus an apology, mine was 'luke warm', but by this stage we had been there for an hour and a half and just wanted to eat and leave. Wish we had bypassed this venue entirely and won't be returning.

Went on Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. Half the outdoor area tables were reserved but seemingly unused as the time clocks on the table signs were for earlier in the day. Approached one of the waitstaff but he confirmed they were all reserved and nothing available. Sat at one of the tables regardless and no one showed up, seemed to be what all the other new arrivals to Harrigans were doing. Ordered food at the bar, waited well over an hour for overpriced, below average food. On asking staff at the 1 hour 30 minute mark were advised that it was coming. 2 of the meals arrived, followed by another a few mintes later. Sadly our 4th person was left waiting for another extended period which meant that the first three had finished eating by the time the 4th person got their meal. When the last meal did arrive, not even an apology for the wait!!! You would be willing to forgive somewhat if the food was good but alas no. Very basic pub food at over inflated prices. How it can take over and hour and half to prepare a fried chicken scnitzel (dry and overcooked) with mixed saled/fried is beyond me. Truely disappointing and would never go back.

We have been here a couple of times and visited again today for lunch. It seemed to be quite busy and we were unsure if we'd be able to get a table but they seated the four of us quickly. I had garlic bread & chicken schnitzel, and the meals were large & came out quickly. It is a bit expensive for a pub meal but its a nice atmosphere & the food is good.

So fun on the weekends! Usually has bands perform friday and saturday nights, getting everyone up on the dance floor. Good beers on tap, lots of places to dance or chill and has a big pokie room and a pool room too. They're also the only bottle shop in Pokolbin.
Food- eh. Nothing special, I'm guessing everything's either frozen or bought in. BUT the pizzas are pretty good after a few Guinness's.
Awesome accommodation too. The rooms have all been renovated and updated and they're all lovely and new!
