We came here for breakfast this morning. The food was amazing and the place was quiet busy. The deli is amazing and has a small choice of really lovely cheese.

Food was exactly what we needed and they have very good freshly made juice and old fashion lemonade. The milkshake was great too! Perfect place for the recovery breakfast needed on a Sunday spent in the hunter. Worth a visit.

Partner and I enjoyed a mid week lunch recently at this venue. I work locally and customers had been coming in and raving about this venue so I needed to try it for myself. They weren't wrong.

The menu has something to suit everyone, and we treated ourselves to the tasting plates. I had the "red tasting plate" with duck, a beef slider and slive of smokey cheddar matched with a sangiovese, merlot and shiraz. Partner had the "white tasting plate" with smoked salman, mushroom risotto and a lamb slider matched with a semillon, chardonnay and verdelho. This was a great way of sampling the best best they have to offer with some amazing De Iuliis wines. Everything was cooked beautifully and the wines chosen matched perfectly.

After reading seeing Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Kitchen advertising in the Hunter valley visitor’s maps and books we decided to visit for lunch.
This place should just stay to its core a deli not a restaurant. The Paella had no taste and only a few small pieces of the Chicken, Prawn and Chorizo, very disappointing. Visit to pick up your deli items but not as a restaurant / café experience.
Not somewhere for foodies to go!

Recently chose The Kitchen for breakfast and what a good decision. We were welcomed with a smile by the waitress and also one of the Partners. Our breakfast arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. We sat inside and being surrounded by a fantastic array of deli products was tempting so we also left armed with cheeses, jams etc!
No decision was needed as to where to go next morning and back we went for breakfast. This time we sat at the tables outside under the trees - a perfect start to the day. A must if in the area.
