“Great location, ok service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2014

Food looked great but unfortunately we were not allowed to order as we were five minutes after 2.30. Food continued to be served out for the next half hour. Their drink license requires that you eat while drinking so we were given some bread with a bit of dip. Service was all over the place ! It wasn't busy - maybe 15 people there!

Place is beautiful with pasta sauces, cheeses - just delicious food to purchase! Decor is simple but perfect!

Would recommend avoiding the crowds so that you can enjoy the food! Really nice gallery next door also.

“Great food, avoid the crowds if possible”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2014 via mobile

The challenge for any place in the Valley is to keep food standards high when the tourists arrive en masse. We went at Easter. The tourists arrived en masse. The staff struggled to keep up. We learned patience. The food once it arrived was excellent as usual. The wine tasting plates are real value for money. Best around. I find it's a fantastic place to go for coffee and lunch during the week, when things are more peaceful.

“Fresh produce - Tasty meals”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2014

We went to Two Fat Blokes for lunch one day during our visit to the Hunter Valley recently.

It has the feel of a modern deli with seating for about 40 - 50 persons. There is a produce counter and another service area where you order your meals.

My wife and I had a trio of dips and 2 German style Wurst with Sauerkraut, Potato salad and bread.

The meals were perfect. Tasty, full of flavour, fresh baked bread and a great size for lunch. We definately didnt walk away feeling like we were short changed.

If you feel like a lunch that is well priced and good value then pay a visit to Two Fat Blokes and I guarantee you wont be disappointed.

“Great food and wine.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2014

Our main course on our "Two fat blokes" gourmet tour was at their own restaurant. The food was fabulous and the wine was matched for us. My wife wasn't sure what she wanted so the waiter said to leave it with him. He came back with a Moscato slushie with strawberries in it which impressed her no end. Well done Two fat blokes, loved every minute of it despite the rain.
