We stayed 2 nights in a standard room to the back of the property where it was quiet. We liked the room with the high ceilings but the lighting was a little inadequate for reading so we spent some time in the library where we were also able to access free internet access. The fire was lit and this made a great place to sit and read or have a pre dinner drink.

The staff were friendly and always willing to answer my questions. Parking is at front of room. We didn't eat in the restaurant but drove to the Irish pub down the road for dinner. We ate one breakfast at the Hunter Valley Gardens Village Shops which is just next door.

I would recommend this hotel for its location alone but the rooms and the staff made it very enjoyable. I got a good deal through the Accor club.

We celebrated our anniversary in the Hunter Valley, and the Mercure made us feel very comfortable & welcome. Room was well appointed, and parking to the front door.

We pre-paid for breakfasts, and glad we did. The hot buffet had a good variety, and chef was only to happy to do eggs any way we wanted. We had a deluxe ground floor room looking out to Tempus Two. All good.

Found a great rate on Last Minute and definately consider it was worth it. We'll be back.
