“Very high standards and lovely outlook”
Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for just one night to get out of Sydney for a short break. Having read a bit about this place (and stayed in many of the better places in the Hunter previously) we thought we'd give it a go. Rooms are very spacious and well appointed, and the staff are very friendly. The complex is well positioned to take advantage of the views to the range opposite and has a pool and walking options. The included drinks in the room are a nice touch, as was the fire already set to simply light and enjoy, although the reverse cycle air conditioning was able to supply all the warmth if you couldn't be bothered. This is not a cheap place to stay, although mid-week was much cheaper than the weekends, but it is certainly at the upper end of the accommodation options in this region.

We had a amazing two night stay. The staff were so friendly right from the warm welcome when we first arrived to the final departure, they were just wonderful. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious with outside chairs and table to relax in and take in the garden views. The food was just delicious - fully recommend dinner/lunch in the restaurant. The arrival bubbly was so good that we went and purchased more from the winery.

WOW - we recently returned to Spicer's Vineyards Estate and were fortunate to experience the newly designed and built luxury spa suites. The upstairs balcony, the views over the vineyards and countryside, the luxury bathroom with an amazing shower - you have to love it. The suites are beautifully decorated, subtle, contemporary and tasteful. And what about the new swimming pool and outdoor spa - breathtaking.

The owners can be very proud of the upgraded facilities. It really is a treat to escape the busy world and relax in the quiet and comfortable surrounds of Vineyards Estate.
I also enjoyed one of the best massages I have had. Bree was very intuitive and I felt relaxed and pampered after my treatment. Highly recommended.

It was special to savour the complimentary bubbles on our arrival, celebrating another anniversary. With the new suites and our great restaurant experience we will find another reason to return sooner and probably more often. Thanks Belinda, chef Mark and little Matilda and all the staff.

We recently stayed for a 2 night weekend getaway. This place is just lovely and all the staff are great. The rooms are perfect with an open fireplace that is set up ready so all you need to do is light the match. The mini bar is stocked with a bottle of bubbly and other drinks and food (included in the price) and at 6pm girls were knocking on our door delivering cocktails. Excellent. We ate in the restaurant (Botanica) on the first night and enjoyed the food and service so much we decided to also eat there on the 2nd night.
The surrounds are gorgeous, looking out to the mountain range, a swimming pool and a good property to have a wander around.
Overall this is a great place for a couple to go on a weekend away with many vineyards in the same street. We walked to several one afternoon.
We will definitely be visiting again.

From the moment we arrived we knew this was a special place. The service was excellent & so personal. We felt very spoilt by a complimentary room upgrade. The room was beautiful, impeccably tidy & spacious. A complimentary mini bar, deluxe bathroom with spa, fluffy robes, huge king bed & fireplace topped it off! A knock on the door with a cocktail for each of us was a welcome surprise. Dinner (3 courses) & the vineyard breakfast in Botanica was delicious (the poached eggs amazing!). We were lucky with the weather, it was superb. A magical sunset was inspiring enough for a proposal from my partner! We cannot wait to return to celebrate anniversaries & will be recommending Spicers Vineyard Estate to our family & friends. Thank you Belinda, Mark & the entire team x

What an amazing place! We went for a mid-week break last week. On arrival we were greeted by warm and friendly people and the news that we'd been upgraded to a spa suite. Brilliant!

The suite was tastefully decorated and very comfortable with lots of lovely touches: the open fire; free mini-bar; proper hangers (don't you hate hotels who think you're going to run off with their hangers?!); enormous bathroom with underfloor heating; massive shower: fluffy robes and slippers; and, last but not least, that spa bath, overlooking the estate but not overlooked by anyone.

We both had massages and I can't recommend this enough - best massage I can remember, thank you :D

We had all our breakfasts in Botanica, and each was delicious and the restaurant staff were lovely. We also had dinner in Botanica on one night that that too was delightful.

There isn't anything that I could fault, and I can be REALLY picky. Our stay was perfect.

Room Tip: Ask for room 9, it really is the best!

We recently had another great weekend at the Vineyards Estate -this was our 4th visit. We travelled with another couple and they were very impressed and loved everything.
This time we stayed in the newly opened Deluxe Accommodation. The rooms are spacious and well appointed - each with a private balcony or courtyard. The Nespresso Machine and capsules were a nice touch (we love our coffee). Another nice touch was the complementary evening cocktail.
There were other improvements to the property since our last stay, including a new swimming pool/spa, outdoor games area and a private dinning room in the restaurant Botanica.
The food here is always of high standard and we enjoyed our dinners and breakfast very much.
The staff are a great team; they are friendly, helpful and make you feel very welcomed.
Finally we congratulate Mark & Belinda on all the recent renovations and a great place to stay - thank you for a great weekend we will be back again soon.

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent
