Staying at peppers guesthouse and booked a tour with two fat blokes - received confirmation from the company to say we'd be collected at 10am. 10.20am arrives and no one has collected us, so decided to call and find out where they were. They had NO booking!!! 10.30 they say they can pick us up at 11am, but we've decided to go with another company who can pick us up in 10 mins - feel that there may be a change in how this company is being run - so the earlier good reviews are potentially no longer applicable.
Get your act together two fat blokes!
Thank you for your review. Unfortunately you choose to take the hotel's side of the story, since you have an email confirmation from them to say that they made a booking with us. They have not been able to provide you with any evidence that they indeed made a booking and we have no record of any booking being made. We are not trying to shift the blame for this to the hotel, since we have a very good working relationship with them and they recommend our tours. Our bookings from them have always been based on trust but the good thing to come out of this is that we have reviewed our booking policy and will no longer accept verbal bookings.
As soon as we were contacted and informed of the situation we were able to dispatch a vehicle & driver within 20 minutes to take you on a tour. You declined that option and choose to go with another company who just happened to be within a 10 minute reach.
I am all for social media and welcome any feedback, it would be nice if people were held to account first before they decide to write a damaging review before taking all the facts into consideration. Common law should apply where people are innocent until proven guilty.
Visiting the Hunter for my wife's birthday and accompanied by her parents, our daughter and my sister I wanted a hassle free day out with a blend of all that the Hunter has to offer. Jan was our host and guide. He did a marvelous job with great knowledge of the valley and its personalities, introductions to some very special wineries, a progressive lunch which we are still talking about and even a bit of art and sculpture. Nothing was too much trouble and the day really was perfect. Thank you Jan and all at Two Fat Blokes. I'm happy to recommend you and will be in touch on our next Hunter trip.
