Owner description: Unique, private luxury full or 1/2 day tours. 2- 10 guests only. By limiting our tours to max 10 guests we have access to small family-owned wineries that have excellent wines but do not take bigger groups. Pickup from Hunter Valley only in luxury Mercedes Benz vehicles. My wife's ancestors planted some of the first vines in the Hunter Valley in 1853 and just never left. We have looked after visitors to our region since 1998. In 2008 we added some tours to our business to the delight of many guests. We offer 2 different full day tours, our very popular 'Progressive winemakers Lunch tour' and 2 half day tour to choose from. Or we can tailor a tour to suit your needs. Our aim is to show our guests great food, great wine and have loads of fun. Educational, yet light-hearted. Our tours are unique, over time, we have build up trust with local chefs and (boutique) winemakers, who all offer a personalised experience. Because we only have a small number of guests on our tours we can be flexible and tailor our tours to suit you. We can also assist with your accommodation needs if needed.

We are so thankful we signed up for this tour. We had a great day, it was all we hoped for. The food and wine we experienced was amazing and our guide Jan clearly puts great effort into selecting the best wineries and food shops to take his clients to. The lunch he put together for us was one if the most enjoyable meals my husband and I have ever had, truly delicious with such an amazing combination of food. You will not regret taking this tour.

“Don't look anywhere else, the 2 fat blokes tour is THE BEST.”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

2 fat blokes is the best wine and food tour I have ever done! We were picked up on time and taken to the first winery. The driver had lots of interesting facts and knew the local area well. He rang and let the places know we were coming and we were greeted everywhere like old friends. When we expressed interest in a certain style of wine we even dropped into an additional winery. The reception we received, the quality of the food and wine is highlighted by the professional, yet fun nature of the tour. This tour is clearly well respected in the region and is of a high quality. Well done guys! Thanks for a wonderful day.

“excellent afternoon tour”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

I did an afternoon tour and had an enjoyable time at Ernest Hill (regret not buying a NV 'Eleven O'Clocker' Muscat now!), Adina and Wandin with our knowledgeable guide, Jan. Tours are small numbers, personal and you are likely to get to try a few things not on general offer as their tour guides are respected locally. He also provided some good tips for other places to visit in the morning. I'd highlight Mistletoe as an interesting place with good value wines which aren't exported.

Air conditioned minibus with cool box for wine storage plus some drinks and snacks. They pick-up from nearby places but also now run the nice Hunter Valley B&B so that's worth considering as a place to stay. Cheaper and probably quieter at vineyards if you avoid weekends.

(General note: wine's that are available in the UK are likely to be cheaper there.)

“Great valua”
Reviewed November 24, 2012 via mobile

Me n my partners first trip to hunter and heard alot of reviews about two fat blokes and did not disappoint. Our driver Graham was very friendly and informative. We visited 6 different wineries, cheese & olives, and chocolate. The lunch was excellent at Petersons with a great view. I thought it would of been more fun activities but still had a good time

“Absolutely Fantastic!!”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

We had a fabulous time on the full day tour with Daniel at Two Fat Blokes on 20th October 2012. The vehicle was great even though it was an extremely hot day. We got paired up with two other couples around the same age and made some great new friends.
We will definitely recommend Two Fat Blokes to our friends :)
Thank you!
