Having had the privilege of experiencing fine dining in sydney, i only have fantastic things to say about the verandah at pokolbin. I am writing this review and havnt even left yet....that should speak volumes.
My partner and i were greeted by three extraordinary helpful staff that make you feel comfortable from the very first second you arrive. Theyre personalised service is second to none and really adds to the atmosphere which i would describe at vibrant but chilled.
Then there is the tapas menu which is to die for. Must try almost everything but in particular the chilli pesto potato, the peking duck and calamari. They are all absolutely divine.
Nothing was too much even when my partner requested the pannacotta on its own when it was actually part of an item on the desert menu.
Hats off to the owner matt who took it upon himself to come over and have a chat and make us feel welcome.
Second hats off to belinda and her two apprentices who were awesome.
