We went to the restaurant as we were staying at the resort. On paper, the menu and surroundings seemed pretty good. We ordered the mussel and clam fettuccine and lamb with potato gnocchi for starters. The fettuccine and gnocchi was overcooked to the point of mushiness and the sauce was weird with a nasty aftertaste. Seafood was not fresh and tiny, with beards still hanging on and grit. The braised lamb tasted off and very lamby, like the whole barnyard was there.
At this point, with no high expectations for our mains, our chicken in parma ham and pork trio (piccolo maiale) arrived. The chicken was two really dry and charred pieces of chicken breast on a bed of oily zucchini with some pieces raw and some pieces blackened. The pork trio which sounded really nice on the menu was a big piece of dry pork loin with pork belly that was 80% fat and a little spoonful portion of sausage. The pork crackling, barbera pork jus and leek and cabbage cream sauce had transformed into fried cabbage that was raw and really charcoal burned (how'd the chef manage that?! =.= ) . This whole dish was so inedible I had to send it back after two bites.
All in all, a very disappointing meal which should have been at least edible for the prices they were charging.
