Well appointed large, clean villa, great views, awesome welcome brekky packages, fireplace, spa bath and The Hunter. What's not to love. Thanks for a wonderful extra long Queen's Birthday weekend. Mid-winter is an excellent time to visit the region and explore all that it has to offer.

Room Tip: The 2 bedroom villa and not a bad room in the place.

Booked in for my Birthday and my friend's Birthday along with our good friend from high school. A great venue for this re-union. The views, the perfect hideaway from all the large groups and accommodations. Crisp and clean, new and cosy, secluded and yet close to everything. Hosts/owners, Marie and Dennis were an absolute joy. Informative and helpful in every way. Marie is a great hostess and is a wonderful and excellent chef too. Dennis is very charming and helpful. You will not be disappointed in the least at anytime of year! A/C, combustion wood stove, fully equipped kitchen, awesome huge bathroom (wheelchair friendly) with separate shower, spa bath, super comfy beds with the best linens I have ever seen. The pillow are A1 so don't bother bringing your own. Breakfast provisions supplied for self cooking was fab. Cannot speak more highly of the the Denmar Estate wines too. Bought some to bring back home with pride. Not well known is Denmar but to us, will be forever best. Thank you so much Marie and Dennis for a great and wonderful stay. We'll be back. P.S. Only 2 villa's on the site and enough distance away from each other that you would think you were in the middle of no-where. OMG, you must experience this paradise. ENJOY!
Irene

Room Tip: Villa's available at Best rates during the week.

An absolutely wonderful stay, with two awesome hosts.

Our first time up at the Hunter Valley, couldn't have gone any better to be honest.

We arrived an hour early. We sheepishly walked into the reception and where where greeted by Marie, one of the wonderful hosts of DenMar Estate. Marie made us feel very welcome and within a few minutes she had helped us plan our two night stay.

The first day we just relaxed, went horse riding up the road. Came back, Marie made us some nice canapes and gave us an opportunity to try some of the DenMar Estate wines. My personal favourite was the Semillion. A little while after the canapes, Marie drove us out to one of the only open restaurants on Tuesdays ( Amandas ) and picked us up afterwards.

The next day we picked up a winery tour with "The Two Fat Blokes", which was an absolutely awesome way to get introduced to the Hunter Valley wineries and produce and after words Marie and Dennis cooked us a wonderful dinner.

Like I said earlier, an absolutely awesome stay with my only regret being that I didn't call in sick on Friday so that we could stay one more night.

We had already decided on a road trip and were looking for somewhere to stay after Forster, travelling eventually to Dubbo for a family visit.
Saw a voucher on living social, checked trip advisor- looked great, so we booked.
Unfortunately we only booked 2 nights. Could easily have stayed the week.
Our hosts Dennis & Marie were wonderful, the villa was beautiful and very comfortable.
The winery is far enough away to be quiet, but only took 5-10 minutes drive to the Gardens etc. The wine tasting was great and although we didn't have much room in the car,we managed to squeeze in some Denmar wine to take with us.
The estate was everything we hoped for and one of the best parts of our trip.
Will definitely be back & have already recommended it to our friends.

My girlfriend and I were booked to stay at Denmar Estate for a couple of nights in April, but when we arrived discovered that, through no one's fault, there had been an awful mix-up and our villa already had occupants. Marie was so accommodating though, and arranged for us to stay at the close-by North Lodge Cottages, at a much reduced rate. (These were lovely, and I have also reviewed them by the way).
During our stay Marie also personally drove us to restaurant Botanica, in the area, and picked us up when we were ready, despite it being a public holiday and at night. She arranged for us to have a wine tasting and canapes at Denmar, all of which were delicious, and provided us with breakfast each morning. In short, the level of service was incredible, and we wish we could have actually stayed at Denmar. We'll be back in the future.

P.s. I strongly recommend their Cab Sauv, an excellent drop.
