“Amazing Australia's largest display gardens”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

My family and I going to hunter valley garden on august 10. This is one of the beauty garden I ever seen. Creator by Bill Roche and Imelda, this is a large area garden you can explore , and they have 10 theme about their garden. Rose garden, Formal garden, Indian Mosaic garden, Chinese Moongate Garden, Sunken garden, Border garden, Storybook garden , Italian Grotto, Oriental Garden and The Lakes walk. The view was really amazing. You can feel the beauty of nature there. For old parent I advised to take train to explore the garden, so they no need to walk far away. If you go to hunter valley don't miss this place.

“Nice layout, not too diverse in plants and tress”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

We visited in August so still coming out of winter with few blooms. Nice layout and various gardens, but recommend visiting more when "in season". Storybook gardens was cute - but "weathered" and in need of be refreshed. Having just visited Vanduesen gardens in Vancouver there was no comparison - much better. It was a nice walkabout. Suggest lower entrance fees during off season.

“A must do while in the Hunter Valley region”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Although this time of year had little in bloom, we could see how much care had been taken to create a piece of heaven in Pokolbin. We will have to return when the flowers are out.

“You'll want to stay all day!”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

We've now visited the HVG four times and there's always something new. It's good for a slow stroll for mature ages or fun in the children's gardens (complete with fairy-tale characters) with grandchildren. There's lots to eat and drink and even some retail outlets for the necessities of life such as chocolate and wine. Allow at least half a day and you won't regret it.
