The Country Comfort Parkes is a reliable brand of hotel chain in Australian countryside. The hotel room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The hospitality is terrific country folk welcome. Dining is good and can be expected of rural hotel, it is not fine diniing but more than satisfactory. Overall it is good value for overnight stay.

Room tip: Ask for top floor rooms.

The best thing about the motel was the room were clean. They were however incredibly noisy, from the road traffic, the snoring in the room next door and the 6am alarm from the room above.

I was in the deluxe room, the only extra feature appeared to be a sofa. It certainly wasn't more modern decor or a desk or table. I was planning to work from the hotel for a day but wouldn't because the room was so limited.

The restaurant menu was basic and pleasant. Two of the four wine glass has lipstick on them and the water jug was cracked

We can understand your statement about being overpriced (and seeing our walkin special) when you choose to book online and not through the motel. Motels have commission to pay and in some 3rd party situations could equate to 20%. Your room and all our rooms have a 10ft bench which most of our corporate travellers tell us is great for working on. The motel is built from clay bricks, twice the size and depth of normal bricks for insulation purposes, would have hate to be in the same room as the snoorer that's for sure.
On the same date as your stay we received two excellent reviews on booking.com, I suggest future guests should read these before being misguided! We pride ourselves on having immaculately clean rooms and pleased you scored us well here!

The motel was Ok but it is advisable to get a room away from the busy road. The breakfast was OK, the bed was comfortable. The town itself wasn't that interesting. There were hardly any places to eat at that were of quality. not really interested in going back.

Room tip: Get a room away from the road.

We had a great arrival, lady on front desk was lovely. Rooms were basic but clean. Our one complaint was the fire alarm that went off at 6am. With two small children and a big day planned, not the most ideal way to start our holiday! I would recommend it to a family though, the connecting rooms were good.

After a long days drive most places are going to feel good and the Country Comfort Motel in Parkes fit the bill.

Clean, comfortable, and good value for money. The room cost me $85 for the night.

Check in worked well, and I’m told I was lucky to get a room without a reservation. The motel is conveniently located on the main road, but don’t let that worry you because there really wasn’t any road noise which made for a good night’s rest. The room was generous in size and located down stairs so access to cars and restaurant etc was simple.

The motel is pretty bulk standard, as far as what you get. I had a room with a queen size bed and a single bed, TV, coffee and tea and that’s about all you want. The restaurant worked well and the steak I had was excellent. Breakfast was great value, a full breakfast of bacon and eggs setting me back $12.

On the negative side. If the place gets busy, service in the restaurant tends to slow up, but if time isn’t too much of a concern most people seemed happy to live with this. Also the motel must be right on the fringe of digital TV reception as most of the claimed stations were off air... again not too much of a problem.

Room tip: Call ahead for a reservation.
