This is one of the highest points in NSW and you get a great view of the surrounding countryside. There are a number of bush walks from the summit and the best bit is that you can drive right to the top, where there is parking.

Well certainly feels that way! Over 1000th above sea level you certainly get a birds eye view. Although a bit of a drive, worth it for the views. Visit the vineyards on the way up or down, can make a full day of the area.

Their is a full macadam road the whole way (Pinnacle Road) unless you take the Old Canobolas Road which is partly dirt but well graded & maintained ? A nice outlook over the entire region & at 1395m ASL is the highest point till you hit WA !! Many choices for walks from there our just enjoy the View !

We parked at the Federal Falls campground and walked the falls loop early in the morning followed by the summit track. The smell of the Eucalyptus trees was amazing and we saw kangaroos and wallabies and endless butterflies. Such a beautiful walk and we almost had the place to ourselves first thing in the morning.
