The exterior may not be anything to write home about but the pleasant and friendly reception greeting sets the scene for the quality that seems to underline the stay at this property. I stayed in a Junior Spa Suite and I must say, it was very impressive! The room was perfectly clean, spacious, and well maintained. It looked as good as new. Fully separate lounge is great for a Junior suite. The most amazing thing though was the BEAUTIFUL smell in the room. I have never smelled a room as good. It made my stay. A lot of attention to detail here as well. Plenty of spare towels, toilet paper & pillows. 2 bottles of water provided. Good to sea T2 tea and decaf also provided. All great. The negatives. The included "breakfast" was crappy. A bag of bland coffee. 3 pieces of bread and jam in a paper bag in the kitchenette. Not great for a place of this standard. A fresh croissant would be nicer. No free nespresso pods are included and they cost $1 each. A bit stingy if you ask me. At least give 1 or 2 free ones. Surely that could be included in the tariff. But overall, a really great place and if they could fix these 2 bug bears, we'd have a fantastic place here.

We stayed for three nights in this quaint boutique hotel. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival as the rooms were super comfortable and nicely decorated. The employees working the front desk provided us great recommendations for restaurants and a wine bar. All these were within walking distance from the hotel. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Orange.

Where to start?
From the beginning when we booked our rooms, the reception staff were accommodating and helpful.
Then a few days before our stay, they phoned to see what type of milk we would prefer in each room.
Upon our arrival in Orange, in the middle of a heat wave, the receptionist was full of useful information and tips on where to eat and what to do. Nothing was too much bother. When we got to our room, (with the air con blissfully churning out cool air) and asked for the mini bar to be emptied and taken away, it was done immediately.
The apartments themselves are well appointed with great quality toiletries in the bathroom and daily replenishment of those and the dish washing / cleaning supplies in the kitchenette.
The rooms are compact, but still well thought out and there is a good attention to detail.
Having said that, a bit more storage space in both the kitchen and bedrooms wouldn't go astray. It is a bit more noticeable when you are staying for longer, and with 2 adults and 2 children for 4 nights, there is a fair bit of ensuing "stuff" to be stored. Also the pillows are a bit flat and soft, so for those who prefer a harder or higher pillow, perhaps consider bringing your own.
Those are minor details however. The pluses are too numerous to mention. The location is whisper quiet (you cannot even hear the neighbors in the next room) beds are comfortable, kitchenette is well equipped with full size fridge/freezer, microwave, cooktop and dishwasher, free shared laundry facilities, plunge pool (admittedly chilly even in a heat wave), off street parking and close /walking distance to great restaurants and cafes.
Big kudos for the complementary breakfast provided each morning, hand wrapped breads ( 3 different types) for toasting, ground coffee from Bills Beans for the plunger, T2 Teas, organic jam and marmalade, Santa Vittoria juices, chocolate milks plus wheetbix, each and every day. This, plus the seating area in the apartment meant that you werent compelled to be up and at em, at the crack of dawn each day on the hunt for breakfast.
Last but not least, were the lovely gingerbread men on each bed, awaiting our arrival on the first day...........now if only they came as part of the daily breakfast pack!

What a great find in Orange, some Sydney hotels would do well to take notes!

We arrived at de Russie very hot after a long drive and broken airconditioning in our car. The receptionist was very welcoming and offered to help us find a mechanic for the car. I had requested a studio room with a walk in shower and this request was met with no problems. The studio room is large and comfortable. The juliet balcony has 2 chairs to sit on, so it is a decent size.
The bed was very comfortable. The pillows could do with being replaced as they were quite flat. The bathroom was a good size but no there is no where to store toiletries. 2 more shelves added to the wall would be helpful.
Breakfast was bread, butter and Jam, plus bottled juice. The kitchenette was adequate with cooking facilities if required.
Very easy flat walk into town. Will stay here again.

Even the products that were used were of a high standard and the beds were very comfortable. We definitely will be staying here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone that is staying in Orange.

Modern, attractive, quality bedding, very clean, excellent toiletries, towels thick and also of a good quality. Did not get the breakfast pack as advised by a telephone called from the hotel. Rooms spacious. An oasis in the central west.
