Set in a vineyard with views of the glorious surrounding countryside regrettably somewhat limited by quite small windows, the food and service were very good. Suggested wines went well with the courses. Some dishes were a little contrived and "decorated" and the gelato dish was particularly disappointing in this context as one only very small scoop of a delicious gelato was overwhelmed by large portions of a strange chocolatey cake. Two scoops of gelato and less cake would have made a much more satisfying (and better value for the steep price) dish. It also seems greedy to charge extra for a tiny dish of vegetables or salad when the prices are so high. Overall, however, a pleasant dining experience which with some small changes could be memorable.
