It was such a treat finding the Newcastle City Farmers Market. We were staying in a hotel for the first leg of our journey across Australia and New Zealand so it was wonderful shopping the market for local produce. We had local organic apples, avocados, peaches, nectarines, and cherries. The coffee was also amazing. I also found an amazing meet pie from the Meat Brothers.

The best was the conversations. Every vendor was so helpful and willing to stop what they were doing to have a chat. They took great pride in what they do. If you are looking for some fresh eggs stop by the Just Been Laid stall. Sarah and David would love to share the work they do!

Great range of fruit and veg. The cheese and meat is less exciting. Flowers and mushrooms, a few yucky things that shouldn't be there. Coffee queues are long and coffee not great either.

A wonderful place for breakfast, great coffee ( from the Peaburys man) and fresh orange juice, buying fresh vegetables and flowers, and most importantly...people watching.

The markets offer fresh produce, which is delicious, tasty and enjoyable to eat. Also on offer are some organic grown products. The markets also offer various outlets for food and coffee and some spots to keep the children amused. Also available is Meat and Fish products
