“Good pub restaurant!”

Have been here several times, the food is pretty quick, is delicious and very generous portions. The prices are reasonable. I would definitely come here again. The service is good, not excellent.

“Pleasantly surprised!”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

We just wanted a nice, affordable place to stay the night after a football game at Hunter Stadium, and this place was perfect. It is right in the middle of hip Darby St, amongst cafes, pubs, and little boutique stores. Check in/check out was easy, the room was nice and comfortable, and the pub/restaurant downstairs was very nice and modern. The lit fireplace was a nice homely touch. Would recommend this place to stay to others :)

“Love this place”

Have been here a few times now, generally for lunch. Great food, bit pricy but generous potions. Love the fireplaces & cozy atmposphere.

“Not coming back”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

We arrived at 7.30pm at Cravings Restaurant. We ordered the cheese and chorizo bread as a starter which was very nice, better than any pizza. I had duck with spinach, pistacchios, tomatoes, kipfler potatoes in a blood orange dressing and my partner had the Chicken Parmigiana. What a disappointment! It took a long time for the meals to arrive; granted it was Friday night and busy but I was glad we had the starter - especially since the quality of the meals left a lot to be desired. The duck was overcooked and the duck leg was inedible, so were the Kipfler potato slices, swimming in sauce. Everything tasted like the cook had forgotten about it as it tasted and looked charcoaled - including the pistacchios and the spinach. The whole combination did not work. The Parmi was dry and crusted in a thick layer of breadcrumbs - it was like eating bread and totally overpowered the chicken. The chicken was served on top of the chips which were also dry and the salad had two little slices of oily tomatoes with a whole bunch of fancy lettuce. When the waitress enquired about the quality of our meals I had to be honest with her and say my dish was inedible as it was burnt. She took the meal off the bill. However, yet another disappointing outing where the diner is left wondering why cooks don't pay more attention to the quality of the food. The Parmi cost $21, the bread $12 and the duck $29.

“good for casual drinks or a nightout”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

Have had a few nights at The Del.. great place to go and meet new people, have a drink and a dance. Very friendly bar staff. Great areas to sit or stand. Often have a band playing which adds to a great atmosphere. Can eat here too - decent pub food. Parking out the back in parking lot (fills very quickly ) or on the street. Dedicated taxi zone. Atm and clean bathrooms. Outdoor seating/ smoking areas for the so inclined...
