Grab some food, sit and enjoy.........this is life. The activities around this park are just brilliant, take in the sunshine, relax and watch. Enjoy.

“Away from big city madness - Newcastle's Inner Harbour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2012

Cross the railway line at Civic Station - just beside Hunter Street - and there is Newcastle's gem of a museum - free entry - a recreation of the former steel-works - a kind of lights to dazzle and noise - the pouring of molten steel recreation of the former steelworks to delight everyone - with lots of oral stories and videos and the history of this important industry - now gone - a room of delights for little and big kids - how it works hands-on - then the social history of the city from the Indigenous folk through its convict stages to its industrialisation, coal mining - the great depression - two world wars (and other military entanglements) - all chronicled with well-thought-out displays - and special exhibitions to draw one back again and again! And a cafeteria!

“Great spot for summer afternoons”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

Take the towel and soccer ball and kick back and enjoy a wonderful park adjacent to a working harbour.

Would have to be one of the best places in the Eastern Seaboard to sit and relax as well as provide enough space to kick the ball and spend time with kids.

This is a very nice area, old buildings nearby and bbq's along the water. I enjoyed walking and running through this park
