“Beautiful”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

This beautiful, old cathedral, which was damaged in the Newcastle earthquake, is still standing majestically atop a hill and looking out all over Newcastle, the views from here are fantastic. I went to a wedding here and the interior is just beautiful and everything you would expect with the architecture and stained glass windows. I did feel sorry for the bride and her father as the walk up the aisle was so long and she was so nervious, bet she thought that she would never get to the end of it. The church is open for services and they also hold some special functions here such as floral festivals, choral festivals etc. don't miss it or the old grave sites

“Christ Church”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

Christ Church is Newcastle's Anglican cathedral, which dominates the city's skyline. There are some interesting old graves in the cemetery, and a good view over the city from the back. For the adventurous, it is possible to climb the tower (for a small fee).

“Newcastle Cathedral”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

Equal to any City Cathedral. Check times for tours and services. There is a small shop in the foyer you can purchase memorabilia
this helps with the ongoing coast of maitenance. Extensive damage was caused during the 1989 earthquake. The cathedral is a beautiful place to view the city and harbour of Newcastle. It has many history graves in the large well manicured ground.
