Description: This is a daytime cafe in Newcastle that has been operating maybe a year or so. Great service, vintage decore, multi-cultural food choices, yummy cakes and fabulous Campos coffee. Very popular with Gen Y's

I went here with some friends a while back in the afternoon. We asked them if they were still doing lunch. They said yes. We were put upstairs and forgotten about for about 40minutes before one of us literally wrote all of our orders down on paper for them, went downstairs and gave it to them. The particular staff member then proceeded to come upstairs to our table (finally) and inform us that they weren't doing lunch anymore and we had to order completely different stuff to what we wanted. While the décor is kind of hipster (yet nice), I have not and will not return to this damn café again because damn that was rude.

“Lovely place”
Reviewed January 8, 2013 via mobile

Firstly I loved frankies alone for the styling, it's cute & quirky. I went here on the tail end of a first date & we sat out on the top balcony which was very nice on a sunny day.

The service was a little slow & the lady who served us seemed a little scattered but very happy & genuinely friendly which is rare so it was no big deal. We got our platter & it was very yum so were the fresh juices that come served in glass mason jars which is a nice touch.

Overall a great place to visit for a relaxed lunch mid week.

Thank Amy F

“Great Place For Breakfast”
Reviewed June 23, 2012

I was very impressed with Frankie's Place - the wait staff were friendly and helpful and the menu gives probably the widest choice in Newcastle. There's a homely atmosphere on this cold, wintry day and the decor is funky and relaxing. I had three poached eggs on toast and homemade baked beans on the side, while my friend had the salmon eggs benedict. Can't really fault this place at all.
