Delucas is always awesome, except the last time we went, but that's another story and they had a different chef. It was good on that visit but not awesome.
Anyways, delucas has amazing pizzas. I've had the margarita, chili seafood, chicken basil and some others. The pasta is pretty good and entrees are pretty good as well, arancini balls are a regular addition to every time we go.
Anyways on our last visit, it was more or less the same. Awesome pizza, awesome arancini balls and beers. They could do with increasing their beer list, adding some more boutique beers like American pale ales and ipas, but coopers is good enough.
The only downside to delucas is that's it's always kinda warm,
Probably because of the pizza oven, and the smell drives you crazy waiting for your pizza to be cooked. It's nice and intimate and they always have good music, like the smiths, David Bowie and cat power. All in all great. Could benefit from being less warm (not sure how they'd do that) and a little less squished, and more beers. Not sure how they could though that either, It's pretty cramped in the majority of old town house turned into restaurants on Darby street. Still, best pizza ok Darby.
We went their on our first date!
