Tucked away in a suburb is this Mlalaysian (Penang) takeway cum resto. Definitely unpretencious but don't be fooled. We had a fantastic 4 dish meal for under $50. Best fried rice for some time and the lamb rendang was good too. Food is just damn tasty. Shame we only stayed a night otherwise we would have been back for more!

It's a hidden gem that offers good Malaysian food. I'm a Malaysian and I think this is the best place for Asian food. The chef is more than happy to prepare special dishes that are not on the menu.

Nice local Asian restaurant, great service, resonably priced and a great selection. We ate in but you can also take away. Food came out in good time. Will be back.

This is definitely a gem hidden in Newcastle. The place may be small (therefore the importance of booking), the food is fresh and different to other Chinese restaurants. This is a Malaysian/Chinese restaurant and if you ever been to Malaysia, you will realise that Malaysian food focus more on taste than anything else. Highly recommended.

This little restaraunt may be hard to get to if you are not a local of the area but if you have a GPS or Street Directory it becomes easy.
PRO'S
-Good, fresh high quality Asian Food. Chinese, Malaysian and Thai cuisine is served.
- Quick takeaway. Laksa Campuran (combination) is my favourite.
-Relatively easy on the pocket as far as pricing. Cheapest dish $5.50-dearest dish $19.00 AUST.
-BYO for all alcohol. Small charge for corkage. Soft drinks are available from the Restaurant.
-Vegetarian tastes are well catered for.
-Easy parking, right outside the front door in a small parking strip.
-Very clean and tidy. Basic restaraunt furnishings.
CONS
-Limited seating capacity. 30 people max.
-Constant takeaway customers picking up orders on busy nights.
-Limited hours of operation. Closed Monday. Dinner service: Tuesday to Sunday 5pm-9pm.
VERDICT
Great asian food from a chef who has been in the business for many years.
