We were staying in the adjacent Novotel and at first thought that this Bar was part of the hotel. However it is independently owned and operated. On our first visit there was live music and it transpires that this is a great music venue, with a regular list of fixtures. It was busy at most times, though we were slightly disappointed that like most places, it was closed on the Public Holiday. Although we did not eat here, the food looked very good. There was only one draught beer - 'Angry Man IPA' but this was more than compensated by the excellent range of other bottled brews. The range of wines and spirits here is also impressive. The owner was very congenial and his staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The decor is great and there are comfortable sofas to sit on if you don't fancy a table or high bar stool. We couldn't find another bar like this in Newcastle and all of our visits here were most enjoyable. If you visit Newcastle make sure you give Bar Petite a try. We were here looking at an employment opportunity; if we decide to move over we'll be using this place a lot!
