Could not fault this hotel. Room service excellent, food excellent. Location at the top end of town made for a pleasant stroll to the beach area or main street. Everything about it just sais "welcome". Will definately revisit this establishment.

My partner & I only stayed one night at the Novotel, but were happy with our stay. (We were child-free for the first time in a long time!)
We had to pay extra for parking, which was ok, but it wasn't mentioned when we booked. And I think they could signpost the lifts a bit clearer too (there are lifts for hotel guests as well as units in the same building).
We paid extra for a 'Harbourview' room, which ended up having a filtered view of the harbour, along with other buildings. I thought it would be a better view. Next time I think I'll just book a normal room.
The bed & Pillows were unreal! As was the shower. No bath, and as we found out after hubby used the bathroom, no fan!!
We dined in the restaurant which was pricey considering you were basically in the foyer of the motel, but the food was beautiful.
We would stay there again, but like I said, maybe in a 'normal' room.

Changing to the Novotel this week we did miss the signs to the hotel but that was the only issue we faced. Room was very modern even though it was probably on the small side. We had a street view but the hotel is in a great location with beach views across the other side of the building I would expect. Buffet breakfast was a highlight with the food and staff all excellent. Check-in/out experience was pleasant and I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to Newcastle, number 1 for a reason.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night and I was really disappointed. For the price you would expect more, but we got was a tiny room, literally the size of my closet back home with no balcony. The view of the water was actually a view out to a large building and a glimpse of water in the distance. Other than it's location I don't recommend this overpriced hotel.

We stayed here on a Sunday night, and the only complaint we had was that nothing was open in this end of town. Hardly the Hotel's fault! The room service menu is fantastic! Thoroughly recommend the Beef Burger!

Location is great, next to Nobby's Head!

Room Tip: Ocean View is only $10 more, and on the quieter side of the building!

Had a great experience. Bed was so comfortable, good linen, fluffy towels and really clean rooms. Great location, close to so much. The service we received was really good, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again.
