Stayed for one night in exec room. It was comfortable, quiet and clean. Had a great sleep. Has a good sauna, spa and gym. Staff are polite and helpful. Close to everything. Would stay again without hesitation.

What a hotel! This place is really nice. it must be a relatively new hotel , as every inch of this hotel is brand spankin new. it has that shiny polished feel . the rooms are huge and the beds and pillows are amongst the comfiest that i have ever slept on. Where do i start . Upon Check in James , really looked after us and his knowledge on the surrounding areas really made life easy for us during our stay. i really think it is important that the staff are familiar not only with the hotel feautures , but the should have a good knowledge of the area. things such as : sights , restuarants , nightlife , things to do etc etc. James you are a bloody legend and thanks for your help . Also Brendan was very helpful to us , and made sure that things such as getting us a mobile phone charger or directions to our destinations and again advice on the better restuarants in the area. The food on offer in this hotel was too die for. We ordered dinner twice , honestly . Thats how good it was . We had dinner at 6pm , and the food was of such good size and quality that we decided to have a second dinner at approx 10pm. it was delicious. probably the best chicken ceaser salad that i have ever eaten , steaks that would give some " fine dining establishments" a run for their money. oH and the ANGUS beef burger ... ahhhhh the memories. Seriously the food was fantastic. The hotel i 1 minute walk to newcastle beach and alot of the hotel rooms have views of the harbour. There are some good dining venues around the hotel , but i think the bistro within the hotel is by far the best. The hotel has a funky gym , a massive steam room and a big spa with some real powerful jets. Upon checkout we where given a good quality key chain/ bottle top opener with the sebel written on it . This was nice. my only regret , honestly is that we had to leave this hotel as the hotel was fully booked over the easter period . we loved the area and decided to stay at the crowne plaza , newcastle for a further 2 nights. What a big mistake... the crowne plaza was more expensive , it was an old hotel , smelly rooms , out dated and stained furniture and staff that seriously had to google search everything. they had no knowlege of the surrounding area and seriously couldnt even come close to competeing with the sebel hotel. well done to the sebel crew. i will definately be returning here for a longer stay in the summer holidays.

Brilliant location. Rooms and service were of a quality you would expect from the Sebel. Comfortable and well priced. Great gym here too.

Where do I start, first off checking in, the staff were helpful but woeful and seemed like I was wasting their time, no smiles, dim attitudes and I had to wait for them to log on to process me, three minutes later I repeat my name 3 times to them, seriously? thats pretty easy to work out guys, moving on to the room, room 206 was woeful, there was nothing in half of the boxes for soap / shampoo and there was no compendium for the hotel, the wind noise was so bad I left at 10:30pm to stay with a friend in Charlestown because I froze to death, the next day I return at 10am shower and head down for breakfast, get told breakfast finishes at 10:30am and that I should of read the compendium *NOT SUPPLIED* so I didn't know breakfast was over, funnily enough there was people still eating behind me and a whole 5 minutes for breakfast would not of killed them, the young gentlemen was stuck up rude and looked putrid, certainly not the dress standard youd expect from a 5 star hotel, stained t shirt, matching his putrid attitude, I kicked up a stink and got the 30 breakfast charge removed, overall i'd give the staff 2/10 the room 4/10 and the whole experience 1.5/10 what a waste of money for $259 a night, certainly expected much better for that money, being beachfront and all, nothing compared to the hilton in Sydney.

The staff apologized but it was too little too late, the only good thing I can say is modern room but let down by pathetic staff and woeful conditions and nothing supplied to tell you about breakfast more annoying is theres not enough parking for hotel users.

Will not be staying here again and made sure the staff knew of this

Don't bother go to the crowne plaza much better attitudes and CHEAPER with harbour views not windy noisy rooms and views of a wall

Room Tip: dont bother staying here stay somewhere else for cheaper not worth the premium

The hotel seems pretty new. Very nice rooms with modern decor. had a view of the beach. we could walk over pretty easily. The free shuttle stop is nearby too.
