We tried this restaurant recently and our aim was for some wine-tasting and appetizers. We ordered plate with ham and calamari; and soft shell crab and in my opinion was both distasteful. On the other hand, the staff were great and surrounding was so scenic!

Recently visited Morrisons on a steam paddle boat package of a trip down river and lunch. Had a most pleasant experience. The boat, Alexander Arbuthnot, was great, and the winery restaurant served an excellent meal in a relaxing location with a view out to the river. Service was excellent. The whole deal was excellent value. The only downside was one of our group ordered the deconstructed cheescake desert and found it not up to expectation. Otherwise, the balance of the food served was excellent. Their shiraz was a delight. Would do it again.

I have to admit , the meals we had at Morrisons restaurant took our breath away. The size of the meal left us all speechless. We have all been to countless restaurants over the years but have never ever been served up such a small meal. We all just looked at our meals then at each other in disbelief. I had a piece of steak that would have fitted easily into the palm of my hand with a half of tomato and one mushroom on top for $37.50. That was it !!!!!!!!! That was all that was on the plate. We all went in hungry and left still hungry, i actually felt that i hadn't eaten at all. The sad part was that we went their for my daughters birthday in great spirits , but on seeing the meals , it totally took the gloss off the day. The meal was tasty but ive had bigger entrees. Its a nice setting, it had a good feel about the place, but no , we wont be back. With out a word of a lie, a couple of hours later we took our grandson into Maccas for an ice-cream and we all ended up having a little mud cake with ice-cream because we were all starving.

We arrived late in the afternoon, and were made welcome even though the staff must have been seriously thinking about knocking off. The wines were presented for tasting in a knowledgable and interested manner, and the quality and price points were both reasonable. We enjoyed both the wines, and the great position on the banks of the Murray. This looked like a really good spot for a meal or a function, and they had plenty of space for either. Well worth going back to.
